We stayed 3 nights recently and wished we could have stayed more! The villas are beautiful, the food delicious and the guiding top notch. We had Stuart and Congive to ourselves for 6 game drives and saw everything and more! They took us on some exciting tracking trips and we were rewarded with sites that most people don't get the chance to experience. Their knowledge of plants, animals and birds is extensive and fascinating. It was our first safari and I am doubtful that anything will be able to top it. Read less

Yes, The Big 5 ...Luxury Accommodations, Amazing Staff, Incredible Game Sightings, Wonderful Meals, Expert Guides! Let's start with the Accommodations. Leopard Hills rooms are Beautiful, Large, Clean with Big Bathrooms, Shower, Tub, outdoor Shower and Plunge pool. Fully stocked complementary mini bar, nepresso coffee machine. We loved hanging out on our deck between game drives enjoying the winter sunshine and relaxing. Staff What a great crew at Leopard Hills. Trust, Bright, Bridget, Nevitt all taking care of us with excellent service. One evening we did not want to do the Boma dinner as I wanted a private dinner for just my family of 4. No problem the staff set us up with a beautiful table for 4 in the library area which is next to the Boma. Food at every meal (and there are a lot of meals) was fantastic and a great variety of choices each meal. Game Drives Were lucky to get Cal (guide) and Mo (tracker), they were amazing. They're tracking skills and team work is 2nd to none. These guys in my opinion will keep guests coming again and again. The communication with all of us each day what the plan was for viewing was excellent. Cal and Mo tracked lions (4X in 8 drives) Leopards (every day) Elephants by the heard with moms and babies (every drive) Rhino, buffalo, giraffe and wild dogs. Our last drive I got a pic of 3 of the big 5 in the same frame! Combining lux accommodations, great food, wonderful service and simply amazing game drives Leopard Hills does it all! Read less

Let me cut straight to the chase - everything at Leopard Hills was perfect. Yes, it’s expensive but the entire team strives (successfully) to make it worth every penny. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a drink and towel. Then you are whisked away to your fully stocked room - large, amazing views, good temp control, and lots of snacks and booze that are replenished quickly if needed. As if that wasn’t enough, then it’s time for lunch - elaborate, decadent and delicious. Then coffee and cakes shortly after before the afternoon game drive. More on that later. Then cocktails and snacks during the afternoon game drive. Then dinner (also amazing - outdoor elaborate BBQ one night as well). Morning has coffee and snacks, then coffee and homemade muffins during the game drive, then a full breakfast. Then lunch again and it starts over. So, let’s just say you will not go hungry! So the main event - the game drives! They have awesome vehicles in which the middle seat is used for storage only so everyone gets a perfect view. The trackers and guides are really highly skilled. We had Stuart for 1 day and Dylan for 2 days. Our tracker was Ronnie who was equally amazing. Robbie, Stuart and Dylan all were able to find us 4/5 of the big five on a single game drive (and you get 2 drives per day, every day!). These guys know the land like nobody’s business - and they also do a great job communicating with other guides in the area in order to cover more ground and animal tracks etc. It’s a crazy surreal experience being so close to such large animals in their natural habitat - this isn’t some rigged zoo-like property. This is a national park the size of England where animals can go where they want and do what they want (including come after you if they desire! But we felt totally 100% comfortable at all times). The guides have tons and tons of experience around the animals, none of the animals appeared agitated or scared by our presence at any time. But the fact that it’s so wild and technically, totally unpredictable, makes the experience surreal and exciting. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. We used the gym - it’s adequate considering almost no one probably uses it - with 7 “meals” per day, who has time to exercise?? We actually had to skip breakfast daily in order to hit the gym. It’s got a great view. Overall, not a single negative item to report. Have a great time!! Read less

For a visit to Sabi Sand (which I recommend to anyone looking for an informative and enriching photo safari), you'll find Leopard Hills an absolute delight. Read less

Leopard Hills is a beautiful property! The team there has years of experience and is extremely passionate about what they do. I love that the property managers have been there for over two decades and their daughters now work at the property. The guides/trackers were truly some of the best I had during my time in Africa. Sabi Sands has a reputation of being the Rolls Royce of the safari experience and I can see why. The lodges on the reserve all work together to make the experience for their clients extraordinary. They share game sightings with one another and ensure that there are only 3 vehicles maximum at a sighting and 2 vehicles at a sensitive sighting. I was able to see leopards (x 3), a cheetah (very rare in this area!), lions (x 2 prides), elephants, water buffalos, hippos, and much more! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous! The food was delicious and well presented. I can't wait to return. Read less
