This elegant hideaway is located on a ridge within magnificent Madikwe Game Reserve, which covers 75,000 hectares of beauty bordering Botswana and is home to the Big 5. Enjoy a range of activities, including unforgettable game drives, where talented trackers and rangers will guide you to amazing animal viewings. Back at the lodge, you’ll find incredible vistas at every turn, delicious pan-African cuisine, and even an underground hide that’s perfect for viewing elephants! Families are welcome, with a kiddies program and bumble drives to keep the youngest visitors entertained.

Hotel information

Luxury Suites have a full en-suite bathroom with outdoor shower, a closed system fireplace and a private deck. With either 1 king-size bed or 2 twin beds.
­­Deluxe Suites are located in a self-contained luxury unit, and feature a private deck, en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower, double basin, large bath and excellent views. The unit also has a central lounge and dining facility with its own kitchen, bar, and viewing deck of the waterhole with stunning views. There is also a private pool, fitted with a safety net when not in use. With 1 king bed, 2 twin beds and a sofa bed.

Restaurant serving pan-African cuisine, brunch and high tea. Game drives. Talented trackers. Bushwalks. Restaurant. Pool. Massage treatments* (in-room or on the viewing deck). Elephant hide (underground elephant viewing point). ‘Kiddies Program’ for children. Children over the age of 6 are welcome on game drives. For families with younger children, a shorter ‘kiddies bumble’ is offered.

I took my partner on her first safari here. She really enjoyed the room and the breakfasts! Animals were great too. Saw all of the big 5 for those who are keen on this. Be aware that the density of wildlife is lower here than at other parks but there is good opportunity to see wild dogs and black rhinos - a first for me! Only slight improvement for me would be to vary the safaris more to discuss the birds or look for different animals, however I think most guests are here to see the usual suspects which is probably why and unfair of me! Everything about this place was memorable. The room, the staff, the food and the safari itself. The bed was comfortable, the room was big, the staff were very friendly. The safari was amazing and definitely something to remember! The guide/ranger was very knowledgeable. 5/5 would stay here again in a heartbeat.
