Wonderful stay at this beautiful converted hotel. My favourite was long, lazy breakfasts on the terrace pretty much on the beach. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially Edna Timothy, Juma Mafumps, Valentino, Yakubu and Deborata. Of note, I realised I left one of my bags behind when I got to the airport. The hotel arranged for it to… Read more

I had my hair trimmed , colored & treated with the best hair products! This is definitely the best hairdresser in Zanzibar! My hair is very dry and difficult to manage but she managed to make it shiny and beautiful! She uses very good quality products.

Stop over visit was a welcome break from travelling with excellent service, wonderful decor and superb room. Food was well prepared and eating outside against the backdrop of the ocean was memorable. Did not appreciate being woken up at 5 am by the mosque call to prayer however!

On a recent visit to Tanzania, Africa, I had an exquisite opportunity to stay at this property for a 3-day excursion to Zanzibar with friends. OMG, this place is unbelievably perfect! In addition to its location in beautiful Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is also right on the Indian Ocean. It is a beautiful, luxurious hotel in a gorgeous setting! I had a spacious, very well appointed ocean view room with luxury amenities and bathroom, and well crafted furnishings. The staff was intentionally friendly and helpful, and the onsite restaurant and bar were outstanding. There was also a generous amount of comfortable, outside seating on the ocean side of the property, where I enjoyed refreshing cocktails and watched the sun set. I was exceedingly pleased with everything about this hotel and my stay. I overwhelmingly recommend it for your visit to Zanzibar. Read less
