The Park Hyatt in stone town was exactly what we needed after a 3-day Safari that kicked off our honeymoon. When we weren’t exploring Stone a Town, we enjoyed drinks on the veranda and LOVED watching the locals play, workout, and enjoy the beach in front of the property. The hotel is designed beautifully, and everything we drank and ate was simply perfection. I truly can’t say enough about the amazing service and some of the sweetest employees I’ve ever met! After arriving in Zanzibar and learning very quickly that the airline we used that made us check bags, decided to take mine off and leave it behind in Arusha, I was crushed. The staff at the Park Hyatt was extremely considerate and showed so much concern for my left behind items. They reached out to the Arusha airport twice to ensure my bags would be coming, and communicated clearly and immediately once they had heard back. My bag arrived the next day and I was so thankful! While it was gone the staff quickly washed the clothes I did have, and I was even able to buy a bathing suit in the gift shop to help make our time a bit more enjoyable while we waited. Read less

All of the staff was great, very attentive, and accommodating. They even called our tour company to see how long it would be before pick up. Also when we were leaving they held our luggage for us until we departed to the airport. The food at the restaurant was great and very high quality including the breakfast buffet and dinner. The views from this hotel are breathtaking and we enjoyed the décor which was very conducive to Zanzibar. The hotel housekeeping ensured they cleaned our room daily and provided us with clean towels. The room was very modern and clean including the bathroom. We enjoyed bathing in the bathtub at the room. The location of this hotel is great, it's right in the center of Stone Town. We did not like the hotel Wifi since we could not watch television on our Firestick and be on our phones at the same time. This is something they can improve on. Overall it was a great experience and we highly recommend this hotel. Read less

The hotel was a bit pricey compared to other hotels in the area but since I did not stay anywhere else I cannot make comparison.I was solo and my room did not face the ocean but it was well decorated and clean. My only complaint was that the beach in front of the Hyatt is really unfit for swimming and murky. There is also considerable garbage on beach adjacent to hotel.None of this is the fault of the Hyatt but somewhat disappointing, as I thought the water would be clear blue and safe for swimming.. The GM Nicolas Cedros has a first class staff. Our every need was intended to instantly. Grace and Nicholas were so helpful throughout our stay. We arranged our tours through the hotel which were all great. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and we also enjoyed our dinner. We already want to return to this island paradise and gorgeous property. Read less
