Le Meridien Angkor

Siem Reap, Cambodia

The hotel

Ideally located just minutes from the magnificent temples of Angkor – a UNESCO world heritage site - Le Méridien Angkor is the perfect place to embark on an unforgettable journey of cultural exploration. Dating back to the 9th century, these enchanting ancient temples are over 1,000 in number, the most famous of all, the Angkor Wat, is one of the largest religious monuments in the world, covering 81 hectares. Its distinctive five towers are said to symbolise the 5 peaks of Mount Meru, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world, and the surrounding moat symbolises the ocean beyond sunset from Phnom Bakheng, one of two hills situated on the plain of Angkor. No trip to Cambodia is complete without a sunrise or sunset visit to take in these awe-inspiring sights! If you’re all cultured-out after a day of exploring and wandering among the ruins, simply soak up some rays on the hotel's sun-drenched terrace, sample a cocktail from the Poolside bar, or cool off with a dip in the Khmer designed outdoor swimming pool. Those in need of a bit of pampering can head to the Angkor Health Spa for a vast range of traditional massage and beauty therapies, specially designed to relax and revitalise the body and mind. Experience the optimum of luxury by indulging in a warm, aromatic Herbal Khmer Bath, or treat yourself to Bergamot and Walnut Seed Exfoliation, Ancient Hot Stone Facial or Foot Rejuvenation package.

Excellent breakfast one of the best omelettes I've ever had made by a lovely young woman named POV VORLEAK. They are lucky to have her. She has a wonderful personality and smiling face. Make sure to try her omelette.

We transferred from another hotel because it was so bad. It’s a little dated but still a gorgeous luxury hotel and what a 5 star pool. Vor a little extra stay in the lap of luxury after a long day of seeing the temples.

This is a very beautiful hotel very near to the temples in Angkor Wat. The pool was gorgeous & the people were very kind & friendly. It is close to Siem Reap but far enough away to relax. We were particularly impressed by 2 hotel staff who made the effort to engage us, as hotel guests. The first was a woman executive who was having a meeting in the Coffee house when we were having our lunch. As she finished her meeting and was leaving the coffee house, her exit took let past our table. She made the effort to pause as she passed us and asked how our stay was. The other was the executive Chef (?) who walked the coffee house at breakfast and stopped at every table to ask how we were enjoying breakfast. Such gestures were very welcome as it showed the hotel staff really appreciated the guests! Read less

Great location, awesome pool, great restaurant, incredible staff. Definitely make your feel at home during your stay. They are also very happy to help with any arrangements to see the local sites. Siem Reap has so many great things to see and do. Angkor Wat, other temples, rice fields, quaint downtown.
