This 5 star gem sits near the North Point ferry pier overlooking the Harbour. The hotel was rebranded as the Hyatt Centric back in late August 2019 from the previous Hotel Vic. Access to the hotel lobby located on the second floor can be either taken by escalator or elevator located in the small mall just under the hotel. There's also a Japanese supermarket there called Yata if you need some snacks or refreshments. Check in was fast and easy and as a Hyatt Explorist member I was upgraded to a Harborview King bedroom. The room was clean and tidy with a large flat screen TV. Just a couple of small details. Usually in all hotels there's a bath mat provided for you to lay down outside the shower door to soak up the excess water so you don't slip, my room didn't have one. I mentioned it to guest services and the brought one. A small oversight of the person who cleaned the room before. The other thing I found was the small fridge in the room wasn't working properly as after 5+ hours my drinks I put in was still at room temperature. I made a call and the staff sent a technician within 15-20 minutes to swap the fridge out completely with a new one. I had a nice 1 night stay and what made it even better was the before and after stay service provided by Kurt (Director of Guest Experience) and Anson (AM). Hyatt Centric should be proud to have them on board as they assisted me during my check in and check out and are genuine in knowing that I had a great stay. I will choose Hyatt Centric the next time I decide to stay in that area. Thanks again Kurt and Anson Read less

The Hyatt Centric has been my home for the past two weeks while I wait for some major construction on my apartment to be completed. I'd never been to this hotel prior to the day I checked in - but, upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with how new and well-designed everything was. It has the elegance of a Grand Hyatt mixed with the chic feel of an Andaz hotel -- a big complement for a property at this price point. The rooms are above average in size compare to other hotels on the island. Once again, the furnishings and decor are very sleek and practical. The bed is as comfortable as any other hotel I've been to before. The restaurants and bar all live up to Hong Kong's 5-star standards. They can get a bit busy on the weekends (but isn't that the sign of a good restaurant?). The weekend buffets in particular are spectacular. On the top floor (23/F) of the East Tower are the well-equipped gym and gorgeous roof-deck pool. All of the facilities are staffed well and kept incredibly clean and tidy. A big 'Thank You' to the staff who have been helpful and pleasant for the entirety of my stay. They've made me feel at home away from home. Thank you! Read less

So here I am, in this ridiculously long queue. It's been 45 minutes and not a single person has been checking on us or other guests. Didn't even ask if we would like a glass of water or something. I have honestly never seen anything like this in my life at ANY hotel. If I were that bad at my job, I would get fired. That's call ressources planning,… Read more

The hotel is very new and our room had a great harbour view. The infinity pool is awesome. All staff are very helpful. The location of the hotel is very convenient, right next to MTR station, a shopping mall and the promenade . Would definitely consider going back for another staycation

Once we entered into the room, we were welcomed by beautiful Victoria Harbour view and their yummy welcome amenity. The mango dessert is amazing which is not too sweet and fit with my taste. After a long day, we went up to the Cruise restaurant and bar to enjoy the view and a glass of wine to relax the whole day stress from work. We also enjoy with their breakfast in the morning. The egg waffle and fried noodles are amazing which I will say they are in real Hong Kong favour. I can't wait to be back again for another staycation trip. Once again, thank for Kurt, Anson and Kelvin who prepare our staycation and make is be easy and seamless. Thanks a lot Read less
