It really is worth upgrading to a Harbour View Room at this fantastic hotel, because it's the greatest view in Hong Kong, and one of the greatest in the world. All contemporary rooms have 37" Sharp Aquos TVs, Bose DVD home entertainment systems, iPod/iPhone docking systems and "Handy" Smartphones, plus 24-hour butler service, round-the-clock in-room dining and concierge services. During your stay, try a signature “V-Sip Cocktail” in the stunning Lobby Lounge, the most spectacular place to watch the nightly 'Symphony of Lights' show, on Victoria Harbour. The hotel also offers outstanding dining options- all with stunning harbor views from THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill and NOBU to the 2-Michelin star Yan Toh Heen featuring exquisite Cantonese Cuisine and an Rech Alain Ducasse restaurant. The buffet in Harbourside Restaurant is probably the best in town, and service throughout the hotel is top notch. The superb range of facilities includes a large, heated outdoor swimming pool and the feng shui inspired I-Spa which offers Oriental healing and jet-lag relief treatments, plus the unique infinity spa pools overlooking the harbour.

We stayed for two nights at the Intercontinental in room 910. We thought it would close this year for renovation, but the renovation date seems to have been moved to 2020. We understand that it will come under management of the Regent Hotel (the original management company when it first opened in 1980) because IHG has purchased a majority stake in Regent Hotels. The Intercontinental Hong Kong is one of the few Tsim Sha Tsui hotels whose view of the harbor has not been affected by construction of the Victoria Dockside building. We have had many memorable stays, returning at least annually to enjoy their unobstructed harbor view which we feel is unparalleled in Hong Kong (and maybe the world) because it is right behind the most crowded area of the Walk of Stars where crowds gather at 8 pm every evening to experience the 10-minute long Symphony of Lights. The well-trained staff keep everything moving smoothly and efficiently, and it is a delight to have so many excellent restaurants in the hotel. After check-in, everyone should look inside the bedside notepad holder. We are embarrassed to say that we missed the "Conserve and make a difference" card in the notepad holder and without being aware, for two days in a row, we caused the housekeeping staff to change our sheets because we didn't put it on the bed. We recommend the Intercontinental Hotel Hong Kong as an outstanding value. We are grateful that we had one last chance to enjoy their location and service before the 2020 renovations. Read less

At 8PM each evening, there's a light show right from your room. The hotel is on Kowloon island and you look over the harbor at Hong Kong Island. Beautiful a night. Stunning view. The staff is super friendly and will go the extra mile for you. Harborview Lounge bar in the evening is amazing. It's the perfect place to view the light show. They make wonderful Lemon Drop martinis. The infinity hot tube overlooks Victoria harbor. This isn't far from the Star Ferry. The hotel gives you a smart phone to navigate Hong Kong or to make long distance phone calls free of charge.Great for making dinner reservations. Bathroom is all marble with tub and wonderful rain shower-separate toilet. The hotels will give you adapters for your electrical appliances. Room is full of lights and dimmers. I went over to the Peninsula Hotel. It was old and stuffy. Intercontinental is the place to stay. If your a rewards member, benefits include a 2PM late checkout-subject to availability, free room WIFI, and a welcome drink either from the minibar or one of the hotel bars.I found housekeeping to be very slow. I had a memorable experience in this hotel, my family and I booked a 4 days 3 nights to attend an event for my colleagues. The room was amazing, stunning staffs and chefs who made us feel home and satisfied. Moreover, small thing makes a big difference. Thanks Pauline I will recommend this hotel to my friend when I get back to Canada.
