I always stay here when I visit family in HK...it's the perfect location. It's close to the MTR station and loads of good eats. However, I had a little bit of a hiccup upon check-in this time...my room was not available and I asked to upgrade, but they didn't have a room ready for me either! But when I asked to store my luggage there 15 minutes later, they found me a room...they seemed rather unorganized at the desk. They made up for the unpleasant check-in by upgrading my room. Thanks to the kind staff for another lovely stay! I always enjoy my time here at Metropark. Read less

We had a very pleasant stay st the metro park hotel in July. We were upgraded to a harbor view room by one of the lovely ladies in the reception. Room was clean and tidy and spacious by Hong Kong standards

Walking distance from Central, yet in a quiet neighborhood. Many restaurants around. Nice and clean, close to parks and sports arenas. Definitely the right choice for a less bustling or business trip to Hong Kong.

Just the one night here. Nice view of the harbour but the room is ‘cozy’. Size probably OK by HOng Kong standards though. Clean and comfortable. If your on HOng Kong island this Location is OK and the pool on the roof is cool.

We picked this hotel based on location. As first time visitors to HK, we wanted to be close to the metro for easy access to everywhere and in this regard this hotel is perfect just a 5 minute stroll from the Tin Hua station. On arrival we got the airport express train (bought a return with 3 days metro included) and then got the H3 shuttle bus from Central station straight to the hotel - perfect, quick and hassle free. After a 13 hour flight we just wanted to then check in and get a shower, but we were confronted by the longest check in in history - admittedly we had 3 rooms but the way the surly receptionist approached each key stroke with apparent nervous trepidation, had us rooting for him to complete his tricky manoeuvre and finally hand over the keys in less than half an hour - I think we timed it at 15 minutes in the end. His main interest was to try and sell us an expensive room upgrade - when we declined he became even slower and more grumpy. This man seemed to be about par for the staff in the hotel - mainly all grumpy with the exception of the guy at the pool area, and the ground floor bag storage people. The rest didn’t see it their job to provide a smiley service. The room was a bit old and tired but adequate - admittedly we didn’t upgrade, but neither the room or the view looked like anything in the hotels publicity pictures. We did have a small view of the harbour via the reflection in the window of the building opposite. The pool area was a real plus point. We always managed to get a bed or a chair, the pool was pleasant and the view over the harbour and Victoria park was spectacular. The hotel bar was pricey but less so if you caught the 2for1 happy hour deal. We tended to have a drink on the way back to the hotel in one of the 2/3 bars between the hotel and metro station. The hotel breakfast we thought was expensive and didn’t bother. There is a well stocked grocery store, a Starbucks and a local bakery all on route to the metro and we used these in combination to satisfy our breakfast needs. Would happily stay again, but not a 5 star for me based on staff attitude really. Read less
