The Cityview

Hong Kong, China

The hotel

The Cityview knows its audience. In one of the world’s most dynamic metropolises, this urban outpost delivers the slick city styling, high-tech touches, handy hotel features, and ‘centre-of-everything’ location every discerning international traveller’s after. Bang-on-trend, you’re greeted by a living plant wall that sets the tone of this modern downtown Kowloon hotel. While the styling, fitness zone, and international buffet may feel reassuringly familiar, the Cantonese cuisine of The Balcony and Thai tastes of Amazing (served under a plant-draped pergola for that ‘al fresco dining’ feel), give an exciting flavour of the East – one backed up by its location in the entertainment and shopping district, just steps from Yau Ma Tei subway station and near Hong Kong’s famous markets.

A charming hotel located between tourist spots Mong Kok (around 5 minutes walk) and Jordan (around 10-15 minutes walk). Nathan Road is right in front, and the bus stop for the A21 airport express is less than 10 minutes' walk away. The Kowloon station Airport express bus drops you right at the doorstep, and there's also a 7-11 and Circle K just around the corner. Yau Ma Tei Metro station is also accessible in under 5 minutes via two entrances. Prices are good compared to other hotels of the same class, and while Yau Ma Tei itself may not have the same night activity as neighboring Mong Kok or Jordan, both are easily accessed, as is the rest of Hong Kong via the close proximity to the bus and Metro stations. Staff are friendly and efficient, and the rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms in the lowest-priced rooms may be a bit of a tight squeeze, but are nevertheless excellent value for money. The one thing I can't comment on is the food, but that's another point in City view's favour as good food is so easily found within walking distance. Already looking forward to my next visit as I type this. Read less

Stay one night and pay supplement for upgrade premier, totlly worth it with bigger room size and king size bed. Check in was quick and front line staff is so helpful that suggest some good restaurant nearby for us. Great hotel close to MTR, worth a try!

I recommend this hotel, because it is nesr to metro Station and very Well located, near to all attractions. Every thing is of. Room, breakfast, fitness room, swimming pool. Just the noise of a new construction was the only négative point

Can't beat the location in central Kowloon - extremely convenient to the Yau Ma Tei MTR. Rooms are large (for HK), but very old & dated. Newly remodeled & nice lobby. Front desk & concierge service was very responsive.
