If that sounds too much like hard work, after all you are on holiday – why not book a massage and relax in the Jacuzzi a while, indulge in The Langham Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood experience or upgrade to have access to The Langham Club lounge where you can unwind with refreshments and nibbles served throughout the day. Dinner time presents the most difficult choice of the holiday…Will you go for authentic Cantonese cuisine at Three Michelin-Starred T’ang Court, seasonal imported steaks and fresh seafood specialties at Bostonian Seafood & Grill, International fusion at The Food Gallery or New York style treats from Main St. Deli? Made a booking with them but had to cancel 12 hours later due to the coronavirus. They messed me around suggesting they could refund (sending flight tickets etc as evidence) only to tell me they wouldn't refund me after all. Why bother? Expect this kind of behaviour from a Holiday Inn but not a lot 5* hotel. Will never stay with the group again.

Check out equally efficient. Staff are excellent and clearly well trained. All were approachable and keen to help. Notably Noel. We did not try any of the restaurants so cannot comment on the food. We were disappointed that the pool was closed which we weren’t notified in advance about though appreciate the impact of Covid 19 virus. Overall a very lovely hotel of a clearly high standard and would recommend during a visit to Hong Kong. Read less

We chose the hotel because of its location, near the Star ferry etc. We booked a club room. Check in was quick and easy in the club lounge. Room reasonably spacious for Hong Kong and well equipped. Bathroom had shower and bath with great toiletries. We ate breakfast everyday in the Club lounge and had afternoon tea and also the evening food, ail excellent. Drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic were available all day up to 11pm. Service in the lounge was impeccable. My husband's birthday was marked with a cake and a teddy bear and the staff in the lounge wished him a Happy Birthday. We ate in the Food Gallery once, an excellent seafood buffet. The room and the rest of the hotel are kept spotless. We would definitely stay here again Read less

The entrance to the Langham is either via the hotel car park or the street corner (both unprepossessing) but once inside, the main lobby has the wow factor. The entrance to the Langham is either via the hotel car park or the street corner (both unprepossessing) but once inside, the main lobby has the wow factor. The staff are super efficient and very helpful. The special requests our travel agent asked for were all dealt with and they had a lovely birthday surprise for me! We had the standard room which was an OK size (rooms in HK are generally small) but the floor length window was at the far end of the room making the room dark. The decor was fine, if a little dated. The in room facilities good (tea and coffee facilities, bottled water, safe, free wifi, robes etc). Decent size bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Laundry service was very expensive! Main issue was light at night from all the LED's in the room. Plus there is a glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom with a blind but light filters round it when using bathroom at night. Take an eye mask if you want a good nights sleep! The roof top pool was sufficiently heated even in January and its a good place to chill out after a day's sightseeing. The main let down were the restaurants. We pre booked dinner at T’ang Court and flagged my food allergies. However, despite having 3 Michelin stars they use MSG which I'm intolerant to, so we had to cancel. Two of the other restaurants serve American style cuisine. We ate in the Bostonian Seafood & Grill and the food was average. My lamb rack tasted of beef steak and we concluded it was probably cooked on the same grill. We also ate in the Palm Court. The food took ages to arrive and was cold when it finally came (fortunately they didn't charge us for it). The restaurant where breakfast was served looked dated and not what I would expect from a 5* hotel. The carpet and window ledges were dirty (we pointed this out to the staff so hopefully now clean!). The food at breakfast was a good choice of western and Asian buffet with an egg station. The hotel scores highly with the level of service. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and superb. The food offering lets it down, hence the overall rating. I thought the hotel was good value and would return when back in HK. Read less
