The hotel was nice and clean, the staff very helpful. We had a nice room up on the 25th floor and the housekeeping staff, specifically Billy was wonderful. She not just anticipated our every needs but went out of her way to make our stay comfortable (like we are home). She checked in with me when I didn't feel well the next day and she brought in a heater when I commented the room was cold. She is very personable and friendly. Thank you, Dorsett staff and especially thank you to Billy. We would love to return to Dorsett the next time we visit Hong Kong. Read less

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights over Christmas and it provided mixed feelings throughout. Once we checked in, we set off to our room which was impossibly small, we had no room for any of our suitcases and the double bed only had access from one side. The ‘window’ was covered by opaque plastic sheeting which made the room very dark and uninviting. We made the decision to go to reception and ask if we could upgrade to a larger room with more space and an increased view as we were staying for 5 nights. We were then told that no rooms were available in the whole hotel, this did not sit well as we had checked on a booking website and it stated that rooms were available. After visiting reception again with this information they happily obliged and upgraded us and we were happy to pay the additional to move rooms. What a difference it made, the room was larger with much more space for luggage and the view over the city was excellent, especially at night when all the buildings lit up. Something that we did notice throughout our stay was that the hotel and rooms had a damp smell, they had some air fresheners in reception, but we made use of our own aftershave to mask the smell in our room and refrained from using the air conditioning as that seemed to make it worse. The hotel itself is located about a 15-20 minute walk away from the main shopping area and eateries, which are full of life and provide plenty of things to do. I would recommend this hotel for the location and the fact that it is very accessible - Wan Chai is a great area to stay as it has more of a fun, local feel to it - making it more interesting to explore. I think with a few changes to some areas in this hotel, it could be great, especially with its great location. Read less

Easy walk to Causeway Bay, even with two young kids. The rooms are on the small side but I thought the price was excellent compared to rival hotels in the area. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast. Much better options within 10 mins walk. I would however, strongly recommend this hotel. It is central, comfy, and the staff go above and beyond. On the final day my boy was sick and reception didn’t hesitate to allow us to stay in our room until our car for the airport turned up mid-afternoon. Concierge were also great guys and made a big effort. We will be back next year. Read less
