The hotel is beautiful from the lobby to the restaurant. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. The room was very nice and had a great view of the Harbour. The location is great and only a very short walk to the Fortress Hill train station. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting HK. I look forward to going back and stay here again and again. Read less

We visited the Harbour Grand (HG) hotel from 6-10th March 2020. On arrival we were greeted by our travel agents representative who had arranged with the hotel that we completed our check-in in the comfort of the Harbour HG Club lounge, all very civilised. The staff could not do enough for us and our luggage was delivered to our room whilst the formalities of check-in were completed over a cocktail or two in the Club Lounge. Our room was located on the 39th floor, we had booked a club room. (and I can confirm it’s worth every penny) The room had views over the harbour, so you can lie in bed and watch the sun come up and go down should you wish. Our room was finished to a very high standard and came with a daily selection of fresh fruit, a complimentary newspaper, bottled water, Elemis toiletries and a fully stocked Mini bar (chargeable). Some of the hotel restaurants and the pool were closed as they were being refurbished but we had breakfast on the top floor restaurant 188, which had the best views of the harbour anyway. The breakfast was amazing, there was a huge selection of food plus you could choose off the menu to have something freshly prepared. You would be hard pushed not to find anything to suit your dietary needs. Once again the staff were amazing, attentive and helpful. The HC Lounge is open throughout the day for teas and coffees, between 3-5 you can have afternoon tea and 6-8 cocktails and canapés(we were well looked after by Grace Wu) this is all included in the room price if you book a Club room, another reason to upgrade. In the evenings there is a harpist playing in reception, absolutely stunning! The hotel is ideally located within a few minutes walk of the nearest MTR station and the staff are readily available to help you with your travel/sightseeing plans for the day. Getting around HK is cheap, efficient and easy. There is also a 1* Michelin restaurant - ‘Tim Ho Wan’ no more than an 8 minute walk from the hotel. Touching on the Coronavirus I would like to point out that the hotels hygiene standards are second to none. All the staff wear masks (they don’t make you feel uncomfortable for not wearing them yourself in the hotel) they take your temperature on returning to the hotel it’s all taken very seriously. It’s very sad that the recent troubles and the Coronavirus have hit tourism hard, the hotel was very quiet, but I can’t stress enough how safe we felt. Yes it was a pain wearing a mask but Hong Kong takes this virus very seriously and there is probably no safer place to visit at the moment. So if you are undecided on your travel plans I hope this review helps a little. Read less

We stayed here for 3 nights from the 2nd March - 5th. Everyone though we were mad coming into Hong Kong because of coronavirus however we was very content with the way the hotel was handling it. You had your temperature checked while checking in and then every time you would re-enter the hotel which was extremely reassuring! Everywhere is extremely clean and housekeeping did a great job. The rooms are comfortable. We stayed on the 42nd floor which has an OK view. We had breakfast twice which was over priced as everything was luke warm - this is why there is only a 4*. You could order fresh eggs, omelette, boiled or fried but they were always soggy and just not cooked correctly (even after asking to be cooked a little longer). The location is good near to the metro station which is extremely cheap. This was our first time in Hong Kong and we really did enjoy it! Staying in a lovely hotel did help the experience. This hotel really is very grand and has beautiful features. Read less
