The hotel

It really is worth upgrading to a Harbour View Room at this fantastic hotel, because it's the greatest view in Hong Kong, and one of the greatest in the world. All contemporary rooms have 37" Sharp Aquos TVs, Bose DVD home entertainment systems, iPod/iPhone docking systems and "Handy" Smartphones, plus 24-hour butler service, round-the-clock in-room dining and concierge services. During your stay, try a signature “V-Sip Cocktail” in the stunning Lobby Lounge, the most spectacular place to watch the nightly 'Symphony of Lights' show, on Victoria Harbour. The hotel also offers outstanding dining options- all with stunning harbor views from THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill and NOBU to the 2-Michelin star Yan Toh Heen featuring exquisite Cantonese Cuisine and an Rech Alain Ducasse restaurant. The buffet in Harbourside Restaurant is probably the best in town, and service throughout the hotel is top notch. The superb range of facilities includes a large, heated outdoor swimming pool and the feng shui inspired I-Spa which offers Oriental healing and jet-lag relief treatments, plus the unique infinity spa pools overlooking the harbour.

The hotel is located a short walk from both the MTR and the Star Ferry terminal. It has a impressive entrance with staff waiting to welcome you to your home for the length of stay. The bar has possibly one of the best views of a city harbor anywhere in the world (sorry Sydney), the service everywhere in the hotel is fast efficient and extremely courteous whilst not being to much that you want your space. The hotel is very well maintained from the the rooms to the gym and the amazing pool views and location. Onsite beyond the bar there are several very fine restaurants othering food of impeccable quality and service complemented by value. As a frequent return quest to the intercontinental Hong King I would not stay anywhere else for comfort, security, luxury beyond the value and constant welcome of the staff. Read less

Before the Lunar New Year, the price was nice. As a Spire Ambassador, upgrade room to harbour view. Even very small, the view of Victoria Harbour is the best in Hong Kong. However, the sound insulation is not good, the shower voice from other room is clear.

From check-in to check-out the team could not be more courteous and customer centric. Our room 1116 faced the harbour and offered unparalleled views of the world’s best city skyline. We also enjoyed club floor privileges and I would strongly recommend you do the same when staying at the Intercontinental Hong Kong. I would especially like to acknowledge the wonderful team on the club floor that took such great care of us during our stay - special thanks to: Jennifer, Ada, and Ardis. I would also like to applaud the GM Mr Claus Pedersen for creating a warm professional culture at the hotel. This property earns (and deserves) my highest praise! Read less
