More about Bali

Paradise is a word that's often used to describe Bali, so often, and it's easy to see why. Hidden volcanoes, tropical forests, mysterious caves and endless sandy beaches which line the island's shores including the famous white sands of Seminyak and the peaceful lagoon beach at Nusa Dua.

Bali is a spiritual place. In villages all over the island plaited baskets of offerings to the gods are filled with flowers and herbs and placed on pavements or the rows of fishing boats and markets, filling the island with colour and beauty.

Balinese culture

Temples, or puras as they are known locally are in abundance in Bali and are impressive examples of Balinese craftmanship. The pagoda-style buildings can be found alomst everywhere on the island and popular ones to visit include the Pura Tirta Empul and Tanah Lot.
