Great service. Staff were all so nice and helpful. Pool was so nice. Temp-controlled, with a gorgeous sunset view. No bugs at the poolside. Attentive staff. Wasn’t crowded but this is most likely because of widening worldwide travel restrictions amid increasing COVID-19 cases, and the total lack of MAINLAND TOURISTS here [due to travel restrictions too] Italian restaurant was superb. The Italian chef made excellent lobster dishes. Risotto and pastas were so good. Local seafood by the beach however wasn’t actually very fresh, and not very good. But the views on the sunset beach are fantastic. The BIGGEST problem was the beach pollution. We spotted a HYPODERMIC NEEDLE, uncapped one, amongst heaps of other trash that washed ashore. We freaked out because we were walking barefoot at the time and we see tourists jogging there barefoot every day. Also, beach is infested with sandflies. Read less

I’m a regular visitor to Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts and this was my first visit to the one in Bali. It’s a surprisingly big resort in terms of the number of rooms but the beauty of the layout and gardens make it feel intimate and like a little corner of paradise. The Club treatment and facilities are up there with the best Intercontinental’s such as Koh Samui or Danang. That’s the biggest compliment I can give it. Great choice of food and drinks and always wonderful service with no shortage of smiling staff whose only aim is to please. The duplex Club Suite was exceptional in size and comfort. TV’s and sound system were excellent and very intuitive to use. Fresh decor and furnishings made it a pleasure to kick back indoors. As well as the Club lounge, the Club pool and its staff made it an easy choice to spend the maximum time there during the day. In the evening it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a cocktail and the beautiful Balinese sunsets which rarely disappoint. I tried the KO Japanese restaurant for the teppanyaki and the food was wonderful. It was a little light on the usual tricks and entertainment you expect from this type of restaurant but the food definitely was the highlight. A half day in the spa was wonderful with fantastic treatments and very capable friendly staff. Resort spas are never the cheapest, but I left feeling very relaxed and refreshed so I cannot complain. My trip was only 4nights/5days and my aim was to indulge and relax somewhere that was easy to reach with minimum airport transfer time. Outside of peak hours the hotel can be reached in only 20 minutes and the hotel pick up service is efficient and stress free. What more can I say, I felt no need to leave the resort during my stay. That’s the first time I have ever done that anywhere. I will definitely be back and should do more exploring of the surrounding areas. That’s if I force myself away from the exceptional location, grounds and service that beat my expectations. Thanks Team Intercontinental Bali ✌🏼 Read less

This was our first 1 week trip to Bali and we chose the Intercontinental hotel. The trouble free, friendly pickup at the airport and welcome at the hotel was the first good Impression we had. Only 25 minutes from airport to the hotel. Not far from hotel shopping and restaurants available. The hotel room we booked was the Singarajka room with lounge access. The room was very pretty, room Service very good. The lounge is rather small and Nothing so Special. The breakfast was always very good with a lot of choices, the restaurants overall in the hotel very good, but pricewise on the upside. The sunset bar a perfect place to relax and to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The pool area is huge and in perfect Balinese style arranged, Overall everything perfect with friendly, helpful personnel everywhere. Everybody speaks wekll english. For sure we will come back to this place. We worried first to go in February because of the raining season, but at the end we had most of the time sunny weather, ok sometimes quite hot and also humid, but only a few Hours with rain. Read less
