The Anvaya Beach Resorts

Kuta, Bali

The hotel

A heavenly hybrid of ‘traditional Bali’ and ‘chic global modernity’, The ANVAYA Beach Resort is a little piece of paradise. It doesn’t just blend Bali and beyond though, it also seamlessly blends seaside solitude with a spot right inside cooler-than-cool Kuta. It may have the resort’s parties on its doorstep but, once you’re inside its walls, you’re cossetted by luxuries like Sankati Spa, a series of mirror-like swimming pools, a sandy beach, Balinese high teas, and a unique children’s club, where little guests can try Indonesian cookery, bike rides, and even yoga. The design details are inspired by the island, from the majestic pavilion of Kunyit Restaurant (just one of its four dining or drinking venues), which also adds on-trend touches like al fresco seating pods, to the natural and neutral tones of its classy guest rooms, suites, and villas.

All the sraff ia kind and the hotel environment is easy and relax. Front desk Rian is very nice and helpful. The swing at the beach is cute for the pictures. 整間酒店充滿渡假氛圍,前台員工很友善又熱情。 沙灘上的盪鞦韆很吸引人,是個觀光客拍照的好景點。 酒店內的泳池也很舒服。

I am amazed at the quality of service given to us at this hotel on our 1st night in Bali. The Buffet Breakfast was amazing..... heaps of choices and the staff / Musicians at the door was amazing. Central to Kuta and it’s just a 1km from the airport. Which is awesome.

This is probably the hardest review I have ever had to write. We came to Bali to spend 6 nights with my father who has lived in Indonesia on and off for the last 32 years. We decided to spend 3 nights at the Discovery Kartika then 3 nights at The Anvaya. After spending 3 nights at Kartika, The Anvaya was quite different, new, more modern but better. The check-in area is modern and chic, service excellent. We had deluxe rooms near the lobby area. The rooms very nice, but smaller than Kartika. Plush, luxurious beds, a small ground floor balcony. Bathroom very nice as well. The Anvaya is deceptive, width it's quite narrow but is very long from the road down to their own small beach. There is lots of trees and shade. It's also unique that has several pools so if you want to do laps, volleyball pool, laze there are several to choose from. Sands restaurant and the area near the beach is lovely. The breakfast at Sands is probably the best I have had. Now, probably the most poignant and unforgettable moment. On the last night, we decided to have dinner on Jimbaran Beach. As myself, my brother, stepmother and father finished dinner, my father had a massive heart attack on the beach. It was pandemonium as we tried CPR to save him, after 15 mins we rushed to the local hospital where he was declared DOA. After a short emotional while, two ladies from the Anvaya turned up, including the amazing Miss Dewi. They then accompanied my stepmother to the police station to report the death. Eventually at 4am we returned to the hotel. At 6am Miss Dewi then accompanied all of us as we went to the Hospital, Mortuary, British Consulate and Immigration so we could sort things out and arrange the transfer of the body back to mainland Indonesia. Later on that day, the GM Mr Denny and his staff came to see us, comfort us and see if there was anything else we could do. This is a 5 star hotel, but the service in this difficult was 7 or 8 star. I have stayed in some very good hotels in my life, but the service we received from The Anvaya blow them away. I will make an effort to ensure what they did is known on Social Media and will send an email to the CEO of the hotel chain and President of Kompas group. We will return, The Anvaya will be our "second" home and will always stay there whenever we go to Bali. Thank you, Mr Denny, Miss Dewi and the rest of The Anvaya staff, you are truly amazing in what was a heartbreaking time. Read less

We recently had the privilege of staying at the ANVAYA for a quick 3 Night Stay, after a 7 night stay back in January. We again booked a Premier Lagoon Access Rooms as we love stepping onto our balcony and straight into the lagoon pool, which was a perfect temperature I might add. The Lagoon Access rooms are well worth the extra $$. While the rooms, facilities and the location of this hotel are fantastic .... it’s actually the staff who lift the ANVAYA to a whole new level. They bring the ‘soul’ to this 5* Resort. This trip I will give a special mention to Dewi & Sueka (Guest Services Managers) who went out of their way to make sure guests were happy with their stay and to see if there was anything they could do to improve things. It was nice to see Dewa ‘The Rock’ from the Pool Area again - he’s great guy who always has a smile on his face!!! There were some faces I missed from our last visit ... I did not see Tirtha or Sandi this time round, and especially missed their warm greetings in the restaurant each morning and evening. I also want to draw attention to some of the lesser mentioned staff members - to the groundskeepers who, day in and day out, patiently and quietly sweep, prune and pick up leaves - ensuring that the gardens looks their beautiful best (I would often observe their commitment as I swam in the lagoon pool). Well done. There is 1 suggestion that I would like to make. Walking from the beach area past the pool at night time you have to be very careful as there are a couple of steps (or a slope) that you need to walk down. It would be brilliant if some strip lighting or ‘reflective’ tape was placed along the steps, to draw attention to them when it is dark. While I was very careful and knew where to step down, it could catch people by surprise and cause an injury. Just a thought! Thank you again to all the staff at ANVAYA for making our mini-break so wonderful! Until next time ..... Read less
