Sanur was the last leg of our 2 weeks extensive travels through Bali. And could not have wished for a better hotel to close off of travels! Sanur was the last leg of our 2 weeks extensive travels through Bali. And could not have wished for a better hotel to close off of travels! The only downside I have, is that I wished we stayed longer than just the 2 nights :( Albeit we had a flight to catch back home and jobs to attend to, so we can save for our next vacation. This hotel really feels like a village, with it's luscious green gardens. We had a family bungalow, of which I got the entire upstairs level all to myself, which was amazing! Loved my room, the feel of it and the space. I hate small rooms, from which as soon as you open the door, you land on the bed. No such thing here! The staff and especially the gardners, are awesome!!! Without these hardworking gardners to upkeep the grounds, I bet the gardens would not be as luscious. Rest of the staff are very accommodating and helpful as well. Breakfast every morning was a real treat as well!!! Was spoilt for choice!!! I hope to come back again one day!!! Read less

This review is quite difficult, as the place is quite nice, with a lovely, well kept tropical garden and some wonderful trees, swimming pools are nice (but, especially the smallest one, fully occupied by screaming children playing with balls, diving and running all around). The building where our room was based looked old but the interior of the room was nice and quite new with a king size bed and a nice balcony. The real problems started when I opened the bathroom door (in a sort of a fake glass) and looked inside, confronting myself with the ugliest and most stupidly designed bathroom I have ever seen in 25 years of trips and almost 70 countries visited. It was the size of a shower cubicle (about 1 Sqm) with a curtain that divided the shower from the toilet, so when you had to sit on the toilet, your legs touched a wet curtain, while the bathroom was totally flooded after a quick shower. We reported it, with a smile and in a nice way, to three different people (at, the reception and at the customer service manager without receiving any feedback. This kind of bathroom wasn't neither described nor shown on the website, at least where we booked the room (booking.com). Breakfast has a very big selection of food with a very low average quality apart from the egg section where I always had a nice omelette. Finally, the “drink voucher” consists in a glass of water with ice and sugar (with a dry slice of lime), not exactly remarkable. Read less

We originally stayed for two weeks, then three, then four, and last year five weeks! The beautiful gardens fill everyone's hearts with peace and joy, and the lovely Guest relations ladies are always on hand, calmly and quietly smoothing the way and making sure everything is just perfect. We know there is going to be a lot of building going on, but Segara takes care not to impinge on their guests' holidays. We receive lots of offers from other hotels and resorts on the island of Bali, but we would never consider staying anywhere else! Cant wait for the next holiday... Read less

Lovely complex, disappointing beach, not one to swim in, pools lovely, food very good on and off site and staff excellent. We were woke by a strong smell of sewage one night and they moved us within the hour, try to get a 1st floor room.
