The hotel looks at the first look nice and clean. But then you walk in the shower and everything was super dirty. And the worst was that the water stunk so much. Absolutely gross Luckily we just stayed for one night, won’t come back again!

My partner and I recently stayed here. We had read previous reviews and asked for a room with a view. What we got was a room with a concrete view of a stairwell and lift shaft. Very dark with no natural light. It felt a little like a bunker. It’s quite a strange layout. The whole hotel. I’d definitely recommend a pool view room. We did get moved to a pool view room after we complained. We were staying for 4 weeks, and didn’t want to spend it looking at a lift shaft. They were working on the pool area during our stay. They were fixing all the decking and pool tiles. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem and they went out of their way to fix any problems. We were given 2 free 2 hour massages to compensate for the disruption of the noise and pool area being closed for maintenance during our stay. Nice hotel. A little tired. Pool facing rooms are the go. Great views. Breakfast was a little expensive at the hotel. We found cafe basil, a 3 minute walk away that did great breakfasts for 50,000 IDR. Read less

I am a frequent visitor to Bali and when residing in the Seminyak area Taum Resort is one of my favourite places to stay. It is located very close to all of the main restaurants, spas and beach clubs, but along a side street that is very quiet and peaceful. Soham fitness centre, the Coffee Cartel and a soon to be opened brand new Body Works are all within a 100m walk. I am currently staying in a pool side studio which is a good size, includes its own garden area, has a newly renovated bathroom, and has very comfortable bedding. It also provides great access to the feature pool, which has just had its decks and tiling renovated, and looks great! I have always found the service at Taum to be good across the board, from the reception, to room service, and also the engineering who have been quick to respond and address any issues i may have. They are always friendly and welcoming. As i work a bit when i travel one of the things that i also appreciate highly is the reliability and speed of the wifi within the studio. All things considered, this resort is great value for money. Read less

The pool is dangerous i had the skin on my big toe took off because of the loose tiles. The tiles are loose all over the pool. When i mentioned it the answer i got was that's the next thing we are doing. The rooms are dated 2* at best perfect if your backpacking not for a longer stay... P.S if you want an ironing board good luck again 2 days to get one don't look at any pictures in brochures because the rooms are not what they look like in them.. Read less

I’m highly suspicious of any of the recent good reviews of this place. It’s the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Hotel room wasn’t ready on arrival so we headed to the pool which was mouldy, cracked tiles and the towels we had been provided with were damp and stunk. Made the mistake of ordering a pool snack which came with a side of maggot. We seriously at this point considered finding another place to stay but as our reservation was only for one night we decided not to. BIG mistake. The room was filthy, food still on the kitchen worktops, sofa stained. The bed sheets clearly hadn’t been washed, didn’t smell fresh and we found hairs and stains all over. Some of which appeared to be blood. We asked reception to change the sheets, after getting back to our room we found they’d simply remade our bed. Spent the entire night sleeping on top of the sheets and got out of there first thing in the morning. Read less
