The hotel

This hotel blends contemporary design with traditional Balinese architecture. Best resort ever!! Everything about Alila was 10 out of 10. From the moment we arrived to we left. The staff are friendly helpful and polite. The setting is perfect , quiet private and away from any crowds or roads. Had a 2 hour rice paddy tour put on by the hotel that it was amazing. So 10 out of 10 for everything!

We have stayed at both Alila Ubud and Alila Seminyak. I must say the latter was so much better. Alila Ubud messed up on the first day by failing to arrange for transport from airport. While it was communicated and confirmed that they will pick me up at the airport, the reservation team made a blunder and it was not arranged. They did however, arranged for a rental service for us at the airport. As for the rooms, it was decent but not fantastic. The bathtub was a little dirty. Shower was strong though. As for location, if you are not planning to leave the resort, it’s a good choice. However, for us, we chose to explore Ubud and it was quite inconvenient/inflexible to get in/out of Alila Ubud. Hence, transport cost might add up to be costly. Nonetheless, staff are friendly :) Read less

Staff are amazing! All the staff are warm and welcoming and you would be hard pressed fining an in-genuine smile. Being called by your name by all the staff makes the experience of the Alila Ubud a beautifully personal one.
