Imagined, we were in our formal attire, suit and gown but there was a long frustrating queue at the machine at level 4. The machine was rejecting notes and each guest took at least 5 minutes each to pay rm15. The machine is located in the car park which was hot. I am sure this is a common occurrence for big dinner functions. A wonderful evening spoilt by the car park payment machine. Read less

The checking in was carried out in the club class lounge very efficiently. We arrived in time for the cocktails and food provided between 5.30 and 7.00 pm. The food was really good and varied and the attention of the staff (particularly Zam and Adam) great. We took breakfast in the Mosaic and it was superb in quality and choice although fairly busy at all times. The hotel is in a great location next to the Petronas Towers. All staff were very efficient and helpful. We could not recommend this enough. This is our sixth stay at this hotel which speaks for itself. One of the staff at the Mosaic recognised us even though we had not been back in five years and she gave us a lovely box of chocolates on our last day. Read less

Had a 2D 3N stay in a park-vew room. By becomign a "Friend of MO", we had complimentary breakfast. I had requested a room on a high floor (for better views) and was given one on the 29th (out of 30), which was terrific. The hotel is incredibly professional, from pre-arrival communication, door service, reception, housekeeping, restaurants right through to departure. Staff were without exception polite, friendly and helpful. The location - being able to walk out directly into KLCC Park, or across a road into the Suria KLCC Mall - is excellent. There isn't a rail station particualrly nearby, but taxis are plentiful and cheap and attractions like Petrnoas Towers, Aquarium and KL Tower are all a short stroll away. Our room was lovely. Massive windows gave a spectacular view over the park and onto the city beyond. The room was large, tastefully decorated and fixtures and fittings were new and of superb quality. The all marble bathroom wasn't to my taste style-wise, but the shower and bath were superb - water was hot and at a really good pressure. Complimentary toiletries were all of good quality. Housekeeping was excellent - room was spotlessly clean and housekeeping was very discreet - never saw them either clean the room in the morning or for the turndown service. The pool is terrific - it slopes from shallow to fairly deep and is large enough for length swimming. We only went once, in the evening, but it was almost empty. We had a view over it from our bedroom window and it never looked particularly busy. The view over the KL skyline is awesome and there are rows of recliners and daybeds in the adjacent area to relax on. Breakfast at Mosaic was very busy - the restaurant was heaving. However, queues were short at the self-service station and staff dealt with things extremely quickly and efficiently. There is a massive selection, including Indian, Malay, American and Chinese hot food stations, meaning we never needed to have lunch! The food was a bit hit and miss. Hot things were generally very good, especially the Malay food, but the eggs were not great and pastries disappointing. Given the crowds at breakfast,t he hotel must have been busy, but it did not feel it and that is a credit to the staff and organisation of the hotel. It truly felt like a 5* hotel, but at a rate that is markedly cheaper than for comparable standard hotels in other cities. I would certainly stay here again when returning to KL. Read less

Food is excellent, the staff was extremely helpful. It was more than helpful really. It felt like genuine hospitality. Our very special thanks go to the Club manager Zatun Abdullah. She was our host for two days. She was always there when you needed anything. At the same time her presence was not bothering at all. She knows how to keep it balanced. We also enjoyed the Spa treatment. The massage by Bibian was excellent. It is a rear case when we have only positive remarks to make. Mandarin Oriental in KL is highly-highly recommended. Read less
