All the Workers were Very Helpful and did Everything for me, it is Not Just about owners and corporate managers Nowhere is worth Anything Without The Excellent Commitment Of Its Workers Who Went Beyond The Boundaries Of Their Job Descriptions To Make This Place In Langkawi Great. The Hospitality Supervisor Was Great I Cannot Remember His Name But When He Found Out I was Trying To Learn And Talk In Pashao Malay What A Help He Was I Struggled With Every Language Since I was a Child Hindi Bangla Arabic Later American english it took 50 Years still learning But What An Inspiration The Hospitality Reception And Booking Staff Knowing 3 languages easily. In british countries Canada Australia uk they can Barely Manage one(1) and they think they are the best? THE PEOPLE REALLY WORKED That Must be Taken Note Of Not Just By Berjaya But By The World`s Visitor`s Who Holiday There. I Feel So Bad That I am Not Able to Treat These Special People To A Holiday In Queensland Australia My Country, Due To Internal problems and the political situation Quite extreme I couldn't advise Anyone to come here I cannot vouch for their safety. The chalets are showing their age in general but should be acceptable if you set your expectations lower. The Good: Tropical rain forest setting, exclusive beach front. Walking distance to the Langkawi Cable Car Station. Nice long walks, uphill, downhill and by the beach. Spacious chalets and bathrooms. Service and food were excellent at Pahn-Thai and at the Beach Brasserie but not at the Dayang. Room Housekeeping and Maintenance responded quite promptly to any of our requests. Wi-fi was good, as was the "jungle" noise from the forest which was priceless! The Not-so-Good: The bed mattress has seen better days and has sunken. Inconsistent supply of room amenities which annoy. TV reception not clear and gives problem in switching on. Floor boards creak loudly. The staff at the buggy counter were not too attentive. The exhaust fumes from some of the buggies, the vans, motorbikes can be annoying. The tenderloin steak I ordered at the Dayang Cafe was bad - like eating rubber. Complained to the waiter about it when he was clearing up, showing him the large quantity of left-overs. He nodded, took the plate away and that was the last of it! We used the pool once - it was full of people and water seemed a bit cloudy.Rather isolated from the commercial tourist area of Pantai Cenang where there are more options when it comes to food, activities, etc. All-in-all, it's still a good resort to pamper yourselves for a holiday. I recommend it. But don't expect everything to be prim and proper. Read less

We were at Berjaya for a few days, and it did not disappoint! My first Berjaya experience was at Tioman Island. Having had a wonderful hospitality experience there, we decided to stay at this property whilst at Langkawi. It was much of a jungle than I expected! But their magnificent shuttle bus system helped. We stayed at a sea view villa on land, in a way, we wished we went on the ones at sea! There were plenty of monkeys though, but thats the nature of it! Their breakfast at the beach was so good that my boyfriend, who always dreads breakfast buffets, actually didn’t dread it this time! Oh and thanks to our housekeeper that always left us with an different animal (folded by towels) every day! Thank you for your hospitality once again, we look forward to staying in other Berjaya properties! Read less

Poor service from staff, only did the basic considering it was a 5 star resort. The shuttle buses are old and unsafe. The walk to our room was tiring because of how high our villa was. As the villas are so high the luggage is to be carried up the hills and stairs which doesn’t help as they don’t seem to have a system to transport luggage without guest help, 5 star I think not. The breakfast is below basic, you’d probably get better breakfast in premier inn. Beach brassiere restaurant is a definitely no go, the food was horrible, we got something which we didn’t even ask for which tasted like it was from a fridge. We were expecting a high quality meal as there is a bulky brochure in the rooms exhaling fine dining and telling guests of the quality of chef they have. The cafe in the reception area served below standard food considering it was supposed to be 5 star. The room was not cleaned, bedsheets were of poor quality. The room was very dated. The bath was very poor quality. You have to turn the hot water switch 15 mins before using the hot water. Besides the views this resort is not 5 star. Read less
