We returned to the Andaman for a second trip wondering whether we would be able to our first trip two years ago. The Andaman however did not fail us and we had an amazing ten day trip there; even better than the first visit! When we arrived we were made to feel special and the excellent service we received continued for the whole ten days. All the staff seem to do their upmost to assist and Ravi and his restaurant team were especially friendly and attentive. The setting of the Andaman is truly breathtaking for people like ourselves who love the natural world, we were surrounded by animals, birds, butterflies and interesting and beautiful plants. We went on wildlife walks around the hotel and had things pointed out to us that we may have just walked past if we hadn’t had them pointed out to us (thanks to Francis of Junglewalla). We also enjoyed the butterfly walk with Selva his enthusiasm and knowledge made it a very enjoyable morning seeing the beautiful butterflies that drift around the Andaman. All in all it was a trip we will always have such fond memories of so thank you to all of the Andaman staff. Read less

Just checked into The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort, Langkawi yesterday and am so wowwed. I reached out to the GM prior to booking and had my booking made through the property. We were picked up by Sheik/ Syed from the ferry. He is super informative and gave us a very good and interesting overview of the Langkawi history on the one hour drive to the hotel. We actually had to reschedule our transfer a few times due to traffic condition and ferry availability (now we have tried both flying and ferry, we fully recommend flying to Langkawi!) but the hotel was super patient with us. We are in the Archduke/ Presidental Suite, and had one of the best check in experiences ever thanks to Audrey and Tan from the front desk. Very good Titanium recognition at this hotel. Amazing welcome gift and the kids got an Andaman mascot, Bob the seal soft toy each. The beautiful 1800 SQ feet suite comes with in room stream/ sauna room, vinchy shower and gym. Plenty of Remede products in the room (which have only seen in St Regis thus far). Free breakfast and points for elites with 4-5 pm elite appreciation cocktails. I had to do somework while here, and the business room is well equipped and is open 24 hours. There's quite a few plug points located strategically by the poolside lounges for those who need charges for devices too. WiFi is free with good connection throughout the hotel. The restaurant on the beach ⛱ Jala is not to be missed. Best of all, the nature is so diverse here, we have seen so many animals on resort, and there are so many activities in the resort that there's little chance of getting bored here. Our kids are due join the Young Marine Biologist programme tomorrow and are super excited. I see some standard maintenance going on, some hard ware definitely need work, but overall a wonderful hotel with loads of activities for both kids and adults. Read less

During our time in Langkawi for our first wedding anniversary we split our stay between Andaman and Four Seasons. It took approximately 40mins via taxi to arrive from the airport to the Andaman resort. We received a very lovely reception and the view from the lobby area was just breathtaking. The hotel kindly upgraded our room to make this occasion even more special for us. The resort has restaurants on site. We went to the traditional Malay restaurant at sunset time. The food was good and the experience was beautiful! The whole staff were professional especially Nur/Noor - she was very polite and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. Unfortunately we had an insect problem in our room which after many attempts by the resort was left largely unresolved. We would come back to insects being all over the table or sofa area. I attempted to clear them but was bitten several times and left with many sore insect bites. The feel of the resort is amazing. It looks beautiful no matter what the weather. Overall we had a lovely time during our stay. The location was beautiful, the staff were very professional and lovely. We just feel more could’ve been done to help us with the issue of the insects in the room. Read less

The staff made sure we were welcome for the entire stay, they were friendly and approachable, especially Natasha (manager) made sure we were treated like royalty. The room I stayed in had the most perfect sea view. It was clean, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The coral nursery was out of this world. They have marine biologists at the resort who explains all the marine life, letting us know which corals to avoid when we dive out at sea. Food was delicious. it was quite the unique experience eating a full course Malaysian dinner out by the beach with our feet in the sand. The banquet team made sure we had a great night and the cocktails were made to perfection. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety, definitely went for seconds at the omelette and noodle bar. Definitely coming back again. Looking forward to next time. Read less
