The staff - particularly Jay, Adhis and Roni, were exemplary- friendly, courteous, eager to help and always available. The food was great, the 1/2 board deal especially a good choice in our opinion. The Tepian Laut was our favourite with the fish restaurant Jala next - great steaks here oddly! Had a couple of buffets on the beach and these are very atmospheric and with live music particularly good. The pool is huge, very clean and plenty of shade or sun and is kept very well. Safe for kids as well but no lifeguards. So what’s not so good, some of the steps at night have no lighting and are a real hazard, the rooms are dated, small and scruffy and have no proper seating - only an uncomfortable chaise. The linen and towels were very good. Marked down to a 4 star because of the rooms, they really are little better than a 3 star but we enjoyed our stay a lot. We did three trips, the town, not worth it, the cable car and Skybridge well worth the visit and the mangrove trip which was also good. Read less

The perfect resort and location for a quick break from the huddle and bustle of Singapore. Good, genuine service, excellent food with enough restaurant choices. A gorgeous beach perfect for an early morning or late evening stroll. The wildlife is fabulous, with great walks organised by the hotel. And the spa is one of the best in Asia. A must when you visit. Thank you for an amazing stay and looking forward to our next trip. Read less

We had a wonderful 9 days here with our 2 young daughters. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pool is wonderful and the beach pure white sand and quiet. Just awesome. The food at the hotel was great. The breakfast buffet is incredible!

Even the approach is spectacular, driving along a twisting road through the jungle, often flanked by monkeys. Then as you go thtough the Grand Lobby, there is the spectacular coastline with a fabulous beach. All the facilities are excellent and every member of staff we met in our 5 day stay was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Whilst you are there, it's a must to join in with the nature walks and tours - the wildlife and forests are so diverse- you can watch the flying lemurs or colugos gliding from tree to tree from the hotel, and everything from sqirrels to clouded leopards live nearby. A visit to this paradise is thoroughly recommended. (One caution though - be prepared for the absolute relaxation whivh will ovefcome you!!). Read less
