Stayed for 1 night on stopover and were glad it was one night. Nothing really bad just that small room that smelt mouldy, air con that seemed stuck on cold and a breakfast that had you doing 2 laps of the buffet fruitlessly trying to find something that you might like to eat and then doing another 2 laps wondering which of the options you will settle for all add up to an experience that has you reminding yourself why you went there: its economic and its just one night. The good points; location good for a walk down the river to Clarke Quay and close to hop on hop off bus. The gym is well equipped and not too small as many are. The bed is good - we didn't notice it so it must be good. not so good - see opening comments - shower with the controller that sticks out where you stand so you bump it with your back and you get an unexpected shot of hotter water that can have you jumping. Don't spend $20 on the breakfast - you can do much better elsewhere. But if you want somewhere relatively inexpensive, where you don't have too spend too much time in the room, that is ok located , has a good gym and reasonable view then this might work well Read less

When to book this hotel to celebrate bf early birthday. Upon making this booking, I put a remark celebrating birthday. Day 1 Upon traveling from my home to here took a grab and upon reaching the hotel. With my both hand full not able to take my luggage off the car boot, grab driver have to request the bellman to help to assist but the bellman don’t seems to be happy or even did the greeting by gd afternoon welcome to Grand Copthorne waterfront. Would you like me to carry or pull in yr luggage for you. Which most hotel do carry the standard but this hotel the first person who represent the image showing me I’m not been welcome. Which I have to use my leg to push my luggage to hotel lobby. One lady who told me,she is the staff who work in this hotel and offers to help me push my luggage to the lobby. Which she was not wearing the uniform. Which that’s surprise me, a hotel staff who is even off duty and still assist to help which she can choose not to. Which that lady makes my day. Upon checking in at front office - Ms Shirley was very friendly and had a nice smile. and update us the meal hours, hi tea n cocktail timing to us also telling us things around our area. After checking in our room around 3 plus, I receive a surprise cake deliver by front office team for my Boyfriend. We when for our hi-tea at club floor and serve by Ms Ying Wei who was also very friendly and helpful. Day 2 Morning when to level 29 for our club floor breakfast. After that we when to lobby to check shuttle bus timing info and this where i saw the lady who help me on the day when I arrived. And she is from front office and her name was Lay Gin. As the timing for the shuttle bus was too Long so we decided to walk to bus stop to take public transport to the location. Evening time when to club floor for cocktail and the front office staff did some nice strong gin tonic and Singapore sling for us. Also Ms Ying Wei recommend us to try the sweet wine jelly dessert from the club floor buffet and it taste so good 100%. Any of you who stay at club floor really have to go and try. Day 3 Checking out today. I would like to thank the following team members who made our stay like home, Yani, Ted, Shirley, Owen, Kaisin Ying wei & Lay Gin without you guys, my boyfriend will not have such good memories and looking forward for our return stay again while he keep praising . Excellent and Thumbs up for you guys. * Suggestion for the club floor dinning area: Best is every table, to put the menu for the drinks that you guys are serving for breakfast and not only few table have only. Also for the tea time or cocktail/wine list. As for the buffet counter: eg: item is Siew Mai, should have list down want is the item made from prawn/seafood or mushroom. As I notices customer asking the staff for the detail so does this morning I was having my breakfast and customer walk over to my table while I’m eating and they are asking what is the fruit I’m eating and is dragon fruits.
