Hard Rock Hotel Singapore

Singapore, Asia and Far East

The hotel

A place to let your hair down (and preferably swing it around in true head-banging fashion), Singapore’s outpost of the Hard Rock Hotel franchise lives up to its rock and roll name. It even gives you unlimited free use of its 20 Fenders (including those legendary Stratocasters) to use in your rock-themed guest room, with its state-of-the-art entertainment system. The hotel’s decorated with around 120 pieces of musical memorabilia, including a signed Pearl Jam guitar, but its headline act’s the pool. A tropical lagoon, with man-made sandy beach, swanky cabanas, swim-up bar, beach volleyball and buzzing vibe, it’s ‘the’ place to be seen. On Singapore’s Sentosa Island, the hotel’s part of Resorts World Sentosa, so you’re well-placed for celebrity chef dining, Festive Walk’s shops, and big-name attractions like Universal Studios Singapore®.

So, we started our trip to Singapore at the Resorts World Sentosa, and stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel. Oh, what a joy from check in right to checking out. Their team is amazing and they always strive to assist. Rooms were stunning and very spacious. Pools were set at the perfect temperature and very tranquil with a child friendly area and a hot tub. The room decor is beautiful and I loved the little details like the guitar case to put the toiletries in it or the chocolates that were left in our rooms on the Eve of Chritmas, how thoughtful. Just a short walk allows you to get to all the major attractions like Universal Studios, S.E.A Aquarium and Adventure cove. While walking to these you walk through a shopping area where there are loads of food places and shops. There is a Sentosa express that takes you around Sentosa from the beach right to Vivo City Mall. We did so much in such a short time. I Loved my stay at Sentosa and will definitely recommend staying there. Read less

Read other reviews in detail... they are all true and valid... The cleanliness of the bathroom is dirty like a public toilet. The floor is dusty and dirty. I tried to wipe it with the floor mat and the cloth ended black in colour. Air conditioning controller not really working... breezing cold even after cracking up to 30'c... The glass door of the bathroom looks disgusting with the accumulated stains and marks. One of the edge of the bathroom glass door has already crack with glass residue falling... It's worrying for us as we have a toddler traveling with us. First night, we requested the room service to clean up the bathroom as my kid refuse to shower due to the cleanliness of the toilet. The room service guy rock up and try to clean up.. It's not really helping much. Second night, we request to have room changed... the problem isn't much better... Hence, i think the problem is permanent and we have to accept this hotel is aged and heavy worn. Can't accept the way they need the guests to fill up water at the common area of each level... The reusable glass bottle look disgusting and I dare not drink it due to hygiene concern... It really makes me wonder is this saving the environment or part of their cutting cost measures. In short, we paid for a 5 star hotel with 1 star quality... I can feel this hotel is trying hard to be 5 star "wannabe" but cheapskate is the key issue here. I can't wait to check out this hotel during my stay... Read less

The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the cost really. Hotel is very good but not good enough to justify the high rates although everything on Sentosa is a bit overpriced. Especially enjoyed the pool and pool bar.
