Hard Rock Hotel Singapore

Singapore, Asia and Far East

The hotel

A place to let your hair down (and preferably swing it around in true head-banging fashion), Singapore’s outpost of the Hard Rock Hotel franchise lives up to its rock and roll name. It even gives you unlimited free use of its 20 Fenders (including those legendary Stratocasters) to use in your rock-themed guest room, with its state-of-the-art entertainment system. The hotel’s decorated with around 120 pieces of musical memorabilia, including a signed Pearl Jam guitar, but its headline act’s the pool. A tropical lagoon, with man-made sandy beach, swanky cabanas, swim-up bar, beach volleyball and buzzing vibe, it’s ‘the’ place to be seen. On Singapore’s Sentosa Island, the hotel’s part of Resorts World Sentosa, so you’re well-placed for celebrity chef dining, Festive Walk’s shops, and big-name attractions like Universal Studios Singapore®.

1. The receptionist saw people waiting in the line for checkin but still kept chatting instead of helping the customers 2. The receptionist told me that I couldn’t register checkin because the reservation was made by my husband and he had to be present. However, to avoid funny situation like this, my husband already messaged earlier to add me on the list. So I shall be able to checkin. But then, the receptionist Hui Xin told me we booked through bookings.com and the platform didn’t inform them so she can’t let me checkin. I then showed her the email that we got confirmation from Hardrock hotel via bookings.com that they have received my husband email and replied. Then she let me checkin. Funny isn’t it? You blame the fault to the customer, before even double confirming. 3. Finally got into the room, it was stinky. The toilet kept coming out a stinky smell. I asked my husband to bring a perfume to press the smell down. But we couldn’t handle anymore and finally asked the hotel to switch 4. The hotel has no contact line directly to customers. You have to email RWS to hear back in 48 hours. 5. The quality and service of hotel is only 3 stars standard. Lower the expectations and still can enjoy the artificial beach. 6. Better to pay a little bit more to stay at Shangri la or W for better room and service . You want to find someone who you can talk to immediately when there is a problem Read less

The hotel was great as a central base ,Just minutes away from universal / cove / maritime museum etc We didn’t eat at the hotel as we were mostly out and about and we picked McDonald’s & Starbucks breakfast as a massively cheaper option to the hotel breakfast . We had one twin room for 2 adults & 2 kids ages 11 &14 This consisted of 2 x small double beds with a pull out single from under one of them . Space was right for sure but we were out exploring most of the time and fell into bed most nights .... any longer than 4 nights and we may have got a little cabin fever . The pool area looked fantastic and check in was easy ( if a little long ) All in all a good stay Read less

This was a fun hotel to stay in! My grandchildren had interconnecting rooms with their parents, we had a great view over the pool and Universal Studios which is only a couple of minutes walk away. We ate all our meals in the many, many restaurants in Resorts World, every chain you can think of is there. As with all hotels these days you need your room card to enter the pool area and obtain towels. Plenty of high end shops close by. There is also a Medical centre in the basement/carpark area. Staff excellent and Concierge also managed to order us a van to transport the 10 of us with very little notice. Sometimes we walked to Vivo City Mall as there was usually a long que for the monorail. Resorts World is kids paradise and we all enjoyed our three nights here. You can get a passout at Universal Studios which is very helpful, nice to have a swim and return later in the afternoon.
