Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is an elegant, beautifully furnished hotel right in the centre of Singapore, within easy walking distance of the bustling Orchard Road and its many shops and entertainment venues. The 792 luxurious guest rooms and suites are set in 15-acres of tropical gardens, making you feel like you're in a botanical oasis rather than in the middle of a city, and are divided into three distinct wings: the redesigned and contemporary Tower Wing, the tropical Garden Wing and the exclusive Valley Wing. There's also an enormous pool area, surrounded by fountains, a delightful place to spend the day. This central hotel also plays host to Singapore’s first CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La featuring unique healing therapies to indulge our guest's body and mind. New for 2018 sees Orchard Roads first interactive play space, Buds by Shangri-La (for children aged 0-12 years), which includes themed activity spaces and an outdoor sanctuary encouraging family time.

Hotel information

792 rooms spread over 3 distinctive wings. All with air-conditioning, satellite TV, tea/coffee maker, mini-bar*, complimentary WiFi, safe, iron and board and hairdryer. The Tower Wing has recently undergone a makeover and proudly displays a new lobby and refreshed guest rooms including the new Themed Family Suites. Tower Wing Deluxe Rooms with either city or a pool views through floor-to-ceiling windows and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. These rooms include breakfast.

Half Board/Full Board options: include breakfast, lunch and/or dinner in The Line restaurant.

Inspired by nature, The Garden Wing homes 158 rooms over 15-acres of landscaped gardends. Garden Wing Deluxe City View Rooms and Garden Wing Deluxe Pool View Rooms include breakfast and sleep maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Garden Wing One Bedroom Suites feature a separate living room and spacious bedroom, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

We stayed in a Horizon Club deluxe room - was modern and comfortable with an excellent view. The hotel is ideally situated and great for those who enjoy a walk. The newly updated HC was well refurbished but large and overcrowded with people and screaming children. It felt like we were in an airport lounge and we fighting for a table. The food and beverages were average at best; some of the red wine not even drinkable. The staff are friendly and efficient but sadly when the space is at full capacity at most times of the day - it doesn't really matter. Read less

Shangri-La Singapore is the flagship hotel in the group and it doesn’t disappoint. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised with the open, inviting decor and atmosphere. The check in procedure was prompt, pleasant and professional. The space is beautiful, especially for a city centre property, although our autistic son did struggle with the way sound travelled around the space (This is unavoidable because of its design but we were able to avoid further distress as after the initial check in we used the Club lounge service centre). Having booked a club level room for a family of 3 I would absolutely recommend that families alternatively opt for a family level room. This was by far the best family level we’ve come across; the laundry room was a pleasant and welcome surprise. Star team member award has to go to Shawn Tan, the duty manager, who went over and above to help make our stay a memorable one. He even made sure he was available to wave goodbye when we left for the airport! That said all the staff were courteous and professional with the club lounge team making us feel exceptionally welcome. The club lounge here has particularly impressive views, food and drinks service. We wouldn’t hesitate to book another stay here if we’re lucky enough to head out to Singapore. We’ve stayed at a few Shangri-La Hotels and this one didn’t disappoint. Great staff, very clean and high quality service. The bar in the lobby is great and the restaurants are excellent. We stayed in a suite with access to Horizon Club. The Club was excellent and we had our breakfast here each morning. Cannot complain.
