Aloft Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand

The hotel

There are many hip venues in Bangkok but this has got to be one of the hippest! Aloft rooms feature ultra-comfortable signature beds you’ll never want to get out of and great city views from extra large windows. They are also very high-tech with your very own entertainment centre and complimentary WiFi. A beautiful outdoor swimming pool graces the rooftop, surrounded by comfortable pod lounges in which to laze away the day. Alternatively, stretch, lift and sweat at the re:charge gym with its up-to-the-minute equipment. There’s plenty for youngsters too with in-touch entertainment kiosks, goody bags and kid-friendly food. Indeed, when it comes to dining, Crave is set to shake up the restaurant business. Order wine from an iPad instead of a waiter – an idea that’s sure to catch on! Re:fuel is a self-service gourmet pantry, full of mix-and-match meals whilst at the W XYZ Bar the fun flows freely with a wide range of drinks, a snack-attack menu and mood music.

Excellent service, quality and variety of the food in the restaurant was pretty amazing. Room was ok, clean and tidy. Conference room with all necessary accessories. Near to BTS (Nana station). I recommend this hotel for business and private stay.

Nice hotel though it is a more-than-5-minutes-less-than-8-minutes walk to the BTS through the pubs and bars along the street. In the day is okay but it can get rowdy at night. Staff are friendly and attentive; quick to respond when called. The staff at reception accepted my request for late check-out readily. Room was big and spacious with 2 queen… Read more

I stayed here twice in the last week, two days each time. Both times the air conditioning didn't work. The second visit I set the temperature at 18 and after eight hours it is 26 (77 Fahrenheit). The first visit the humidity stayed in the 60s and 70s. The indoor humidity level should be less than 50. On both occasions I brought the problems to… Read more

Despite booking several months in advance and prepaying, on arrival we were told that our room had a leak and the desk manager wanted us to stay elsewhere for one night of our two night stay. We declined, explaining that this would be a major inconvenience, given we only had one full day in Bangkok to explore. We asked to see the room, both myself and my friend I am travelling with are plumbers, so even offered to help out. Miraculously a room became available. I would bet that they had oversold the hotel, banking on non arrivals. It is a shame that chains the size of Marriott opt to do this and this experience would certainly make me think twice about returning to them anytime soon. Read less
