A large centrally situated Hotel where we stayed for 5 nights in November. Our standard room was large, clean and comfortable with a good sized room safe, big enough to take a large ipad. WiFi reception was excellent. On the 4th floor is a pool area and gym which was not too busy. The city view from the pool area was good but for the best views head for the hotel's top floor and the bar area there. Staff on the top floor were happy for us to take photographs without buying a drink. One small issue. The hotel manager closed the whole of the top floor for what we were told was his family party. It was sad for those guests who wanted to take in the spectacular view and were staying only one night. I suggest you check when it will be open, when booking, or upon arrival. The Bar on the Ground Floor has a daily Happy Hour and shows English Premiership Football. Finally I must compliment the staff at the hotel who were all friendly and very helpful when dealing with two jet lagged visitors.  Read less

It all started with some friends and I being so stressed at work that we decided to travel to Thailand all the way from Hawaii to get some really good massages! My friends have read the awesome reviews for this place and thats how we decided to stay here and what a great decision we took! The service is wonderful and George De la Torre (front desk) was sooo wonderful giving us recommendations on places to eat, to get tb massages, shopping and even how much we should tip people!! Lol. He was THE BEST!! Th hotel also offers a free tuk tuk ride to get the train which is super convenient and they also have free breakfast which is not your typical pastries kind of breakfast but they had plenty of variety! For the price, this is a great place to stay with a 5 star hotel type service!! Overall, i will come back! Read less

The hotel lobby is very beautiful as are the rooms- our kid especially enjoyed the bunk bed. Their service is excellent- every request was entertained nicely. The concierge helped with all our queries and gave helpful suggestions. The breakfast buffet has a lovely spread. The egg station especially is super efficient. First time in Bangkok so we took a bit of a flyer with this hotel based solely on its trip advisor ratings First impressions. Bangkok is like New York...on steroids! Never seen such a busy place. The hotel was very welcoming, friendly staff, quick transition through reception to the room Facilities. Plenty on offer at the hotel, great pool, spa, lots of restaurants and bars.. Room. We had a room on 11, which was spotless, had everything we needed, iron, fridge, safe, tea making etc., perfectly adequate Staff. Always very friendly and helpful. Food. Plenty of choice although (In my opinion) a tad expensive at the restaurants....breakfast was great, plenty of choice, no complaints. Location. Great location, onlY an hour from the airport....it’s not the distance, it’s the traffic!, hotel is right in the middle of everything and just a 10 minute walk to the Century 21 Mall and sky train station, from which you can easily access other locations cheaply and quickly. Plenty of restaurants, can definitely recommend El Toro Steakhouse, great food although a little expensive. (Was about £125 for 2 with just 2 drinks, although they do give you a 30% discount voucher for another visit within 12 months) Lots of low cost places to eat if your up for a little exploring. It’s safe to walk about at night...just be sensible and stick to the well lit roads if you don’t know where your going.. Overall.. A good value hotel, in a great location, with good food , clean rooms and friendly staff.. I’ve marked it down a point (being very picky here!) for the expensive restaurants and expensive tours Top Tip. Walk wherever you can as the roads are gridlocked most of the day and all the bike riders and car drivers are crazy!! Search out the side streets for bars and restaurants during the day so you know where your going at night. Definitely do the River Kwai tour if your able but be warned it’s a fair trek to get there (3 hrs each way if your lucky) but totally worth it Thanks for a great stay Phil&Lyn. X Cardiff Read less
