We stayed at the Sarojin at the end of March/beginning of April for our Honeymoon this year, and couldn't have been more pleased. We were upgraded to a Jacuzzi Suite on our arrival - a lovely big space (although I had been looking forward to our Pool Room and having my own little pool lol!) - champagne, large, comfy 4-poster bed, great outdoor shower space, balcony and Jacuzzi. The staff couldn't do enough for us, and every single person we saw, be it maintenance staff, gardeners, housekeeping, pool staff, waiting staff or Management were all smiling, happy and said hello. Staff at the Ficus and Edge restaurants were great - breakfast was always served with a smile - Sak, Kwan, Sai, Sal, O, Noi, Chai and many, many others need thanking. Wuth, MaMiew, Lucky, Phoang and the waiting staff in the evening were also lovely. We were given a 5 course degustation menu as honeymooners and the food (and wine) were amazing. Thanks to Chef Gogh and his Team for the food! Pool and beach staff were attentive but not in your face - Sun, Tu, Peak, Pol and others kept our iced water topped up and provided us with water melon slices during our times at the pool or on the beach. We were there 10 days and did 2 excursions. Tom took us to James Bond Island - great day out, and Sunya took us to the Elephant Home to bathe with and feed the elephants - a completely magical experience that I will remember forever. Kade is justifiably proud of his Team and was keen to see how our holiday was going. We would wholeheartedly recommend the Sarojin and hope one day to go back. Sending gratitude, thanks and best wishes to all of them! Read less

We had such a wonderful stay, from the moment you enter the lobby with a warm welcome and the hotel grounds opening up in front of you, you know it will be a great stay! We have a few tiny bits of constructive feedback, but I really want to share the overwhelming positives that left us feeling so happy about choosing to stay at The Sarojin! Check in - We'd had a fairly short flight from Singapore and arranged a hotel transfer from Phuket Airport (about an hour and 15 mins), which was on the pricier side but was incredibly convenient! Check in itself was really easy and I love the traditional Pandan drink and cold towel you get. We were checked in and in our room within 5 minutes of arrival which is always appreciated. Staff - You can tell that the team here are looked after, every single person you interact with is smiling and offers great service. We didn't have a single member of the team be anything less than amazing. Spa - I love the indoor/outdoor vibe - treatments were all reasonably priced and the therapists we had were all great. We did feel we were getting a bit of a pushy upsell for longer treatments when we went (twice during the week) but we were clear with what we wanted and were happy to stick with our guns ! Food - Breakfast is run until 6pm so it never felt busy, was never rushed and was always a nice environment to be in unlike most buffet breakfasts that finish at 10.30. Ordering is A La Carte but you can get as much or as little as you like. Wider dining we didn't try Ficus in the evening, but the beachfront restaurant was lovely in the evening - I would suggest booking if you want to sit at the front. We never did and always got a table and weren't fussed about not seeing the sea by the time it gets dark! You also have a load of options along the beach both left and right. For a quick cheap meal, the first restaurant on the right of the resort is great for lunch and we tried the very last restaurant on the left down by the rocks which was great for dinner. Also a lovely walk in the dark dodging crabs on the way back! Rooms - The rooms are all large and well equipped with everything you need and the space to unpack and relax. Housekeeping are great at keeping drinking water supplier during the day and at turndown. I will say I think it is getting close to the time of needing a refurb - we were in rooms 505 & 506 thanks to a midweek upgrade to a pool room and both rooms were slightly tatty (worn paint, old bathroom equipment, chipped fittings and fixtures). Pool - the pool is large and there was always a few beds available. We were there during high occupancy but we never couldn't get a bed. It is so tricky to keep on top of but we did find it a bit annoying that beds were reserved and left unoccupied for hours at a time - they have a 15 minute grace period but I get how hard this is to police. Khao Lak and beyond offers plenty so you can do as many trips as you'd like, or spend days lazing by the pool/sea. I will leave it at that, suffice to say we loved our stay here and we would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks to the team at The Sarojin :) Read less

We stayed in a Pool Residence room and couldn't find a fault with anything, room was immaculate and the largest, comfiest bed ever with lovely toiletries (including mosquito spray) and a daily fresh fruit bowl. All day breakfast is a genius idea and all the food was perfect, couldn't actually pick a favourite it was all so good! The beach was exactly how we imagined it would be, sugar white sand and warm sea and loved the iced water and watermelon deliveries. Would recommend this hotel to anybody and will definitely be back. We stayed in a garden room for 14 nights in March 2024. This was our second visit to the Sarojin and our fourth to the Khao Lak area. This hotel has a superb location on an 11km white sand beach. There is little development along the beach: the few restaurants and bars are all hidden away in the trees - as is the Sarojin. It is all very attractive with excellent walks in both directions where you will meet very few others. Because of the trees and plants, the hotel’s villas are almost invisible from reception and even within the grounds: this makes a great impression on arrival. And the lily pond really is as attractive as the website makes it look. The Sarojin has plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas with attentive beach staff who regularly bring iced water - and watermelon in the afternoon. The sea temperature was around 32C during our stay and is much the same all year round. The beach is very safe for swimming: the waves are much smaller than on the Khao Lak beach. There were no jelly fish and no seaweed. We spent hours in the water, which was very pleasant. Hobie cats, sea kayaks, wind surfers and paddle boards are available free of charge to guests. Should you wish, one of the friendly and helpful beach staff will help familiarise you with them. There are plenty of life jackets and a rescue boat is always available. The hotel is set in extensive and well-maintained grounds that are elegantly floodlit at night. The lily pond is particularly attractive. The swimming pool is one of the biggest we have seen at a hotel anywhere in the world, and nicely set among the trees. Our room was all we could have wished for. The emperor-sized bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room was kept sparklingly clean: it was serviced twice a day. The bath was big enough for two and there was plenty of hot water, with bath bubbles and a wide range of other toiletries provided every day. The rain shower was powerful, there were plenty of towels (replaced twice a day) and the sheets were changed daily. The Wi-Fi and the air conditioning both worked well, as did the pod coffee maker. Our garden room had an outside covered area (sala) with two mattresses and additional towels. It was attractive, surrounded by foliage and at night is floodlit, but not totally private. The "all day" breakfast is just that: you can eat whenever you want until 1800. The menu has a wide choice of international dishes, some with a Thai twist, plus a few traditional Thai dishes. Food quality and service were excellent, with the dishes beautifully presented. Most people eat outdoors under the ficus trees: a pleasant, relaxed ambience, but there is also an air-conditioned dining room. The quality and size of the breakfast was such that we never ate lunch. The bar staff at the Edge restaurant (on the beach) were great cocktail mixers. We can recommend both their passion fruit martinis and their caipirinhas (the best we have had outside Brazil). We also like to eat outside hotels, to sample more casual places with good local food. There are excellent beach restaurants within 100m of the Sarojin, all serving a wide range of Thai dishes with amazing quality. The hotel is popular with British and Germans. A small fraction of guests appeared to be in their 80s, some with mobility problems - but they had no problems getting round the hotel. However, be aware the garden rooms have small steps that are not obvious, easy to miss and trip over. The sunset cruise was excellent. Just four of us went on the Lady Sarojin (which will make 35 knots) across the wide bay to a river lined with mangroves. Eventually we landed on a sandbank to watch the sunset. The quality and quantity of canapés was unbelievable, as was the open bar (all food and drinks are included in the price, as are service and tax charges). The boat crew was professional and sociable. Highly recommended. All the staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. They were excellent and clearly happy to work at the Sarojin. Everyone, including the gardening and maintenance staff, greeted guests as if they were family. We had no concerns whatever about the service standards: everything was done in a faultlessly professional manner. Attention to detail was apparent with every aspect of the service and accommodation. The Manager was always around and happy to help with anything. We would not hesitate to return to the Sarojin and are happy to recommend this outstanding hotel. Read less
