The hotel

Nestled on a small island in breathtaking Phang Nga Bay, Six Senses Yao Noi is an escape destination like no other. Built on the site of a former rubber plantation, the resort's lush landscaped gardens and mangrove forests provide a haven for local wildlife and hide a selection of beautifully rustic but thoroughly contemporary guest villas, representing an uncompromised level of luxury. The attention to detail and focus on the destination reinforces the resort's commitment to the environment. Each villa has its own infinity-edged pool with sundeck and is attended to by a personal villa team, trained to anticipate your every whim. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining at Six Senses Yao Noi. The Hilltop Restaurant is an exclusive venue with extraordinary views of Phang Nga Bay, whilst the Dining Room offers fine dining and a glass floor with a meandering creek beneath. For something a little more personal, dine at the Chef's Table or allow your butler to arrange a champagne breakfast, a private picnic or an evening barbecue beneath the stars. Be sure to visit the spa, one of Asia’s finest, set in a traditional Thai longhouse and offering a wealth of treatments and yoga programs. You can also enjoy a choice of cultural excursions, bicycle tours and cooking classes. But the greatest star is the bay; perhaps one of the best spots in Thailand to sail, kayak or simply lay back and marvel at the collection of limestone sentinels rising purposefully out of the turquoise sea.

We have had the most memorable stay celebrating a very special occasion at Six Sense Koh Yao Noi. From the moment that we were greeted at the pier to the moment we left, everything was seamlessly perfect. The resort is rustic and beautifully set on the Island, if you want to switch off, find peace and tranquillity with exceptional quality then this is the resort for you. What we liked the most was that this was not a highly commercialised island, unlike some of the other islands such as Phi Phi, Karabi, and Phuket. The staff are absolutely amazing and did everything to make us feel special and welcomed. The Hill Top bar and pool area offers a stunning breathtaking view, King made it extra special for his exceptional service. Kat, our GEM, was an absolute treasure, very informative, attentive, and a huge asset to the team. What we loved about the resort is that every things is exceptionally thought through with guests comfort in mind there were insect repellent lotions and sprays strategically placed throughout the resort, along with sun lotion and after sun cate lotion. Villas in the evening were set up with a lit insect repellent burner, which was hugely appreciated in the jungle setting!. Rooms were very spacious, bed comfortable, and the mosquito net a godsend. We had a beautiful birthday/anniversary message from the team as we arrived in our room along with some complementary goodies, which was a thoughtful touch. My husband was speechless when he saw the villa. Now, that's what I call a wonderful first impression 😄. Mai Thai beach is lovely with calm waters. The sunrises are absolutely amazing and worth the early morning rise. Food was again great quality. We loved that you could go and collect fresh eggs in the morning on the resort farm. Everything is just so fresh food wise. The complimentary ice cream station was a wonderful touch. All in all the staff made our trip special and memorable. The island tour is worth doing by the way, which Kat kindly arranged for us. Lastly, a very big thank you to the wonderful Sameer Kapoor (GM) who took time to have a chat with us out of his busy day. We really appreciate your kindness and attention to making your guests feel comfortable and welcomed. Wishing you and all the team at Six Senses Yao Noi the very best for the future, we have no doubt that you will continue to build on the success. We will be back to this hidden paradise, which has left a lasting impression. Mr & Mrs Obhrai Read less

All staff at Six Senses Yao Noi demonstrate an attention to detail and service that feels authentic and genuine. I ate most of my meals at The Living Room, which has a variety of dishes sure to satisfy. I was particularly impressed with Kwan and his team. By my second day there, certain team members remembered my villa number and where i preferred to be seated. The pacing of the measl was perfect, each dish came out at the right moment. I would also like to commend Sabu for his customer service. Lastly, I would like to highlight the island hopping tours and Yao Noi local island tours. They highlight not only the highly visited tourist spots, but also the less visited spots which I preferred. I highly recommend Six Senses Yao Noi, it will sure to be an experience not soon forgotten! Read less

The breakfast was okay but not the best we've had. Some of it was squashed into two very small rooms so very difficult to get to stuff if there was more than two people in there. There wasn't a massive choice and cooked eggs took a while to come. I would say the same about the buffet supper we had. We did have a lovely meal in their Thai restaurant although we had to make a fuss to book table! Make sure you book this as soon as you arrive. We went out on their bikes for a lovely cycle around the island, well worth doing early in the day before it gets too hot as there are a few hills. The main pool is the most beautiful I have seen, what a location! Read less
