Our last Hotel stay to chill, hotel very quiet, nice surroundings. Little town 15 min ride away. Hotel food very good, staff polite & helpful. Just right for last chill before returning home. Beach 1K away but have free shuttle bus there & back. Not visited as only has 2 days there.

Ok let me start by saying I’m a very fussy traveller, I spend a lot of time deciding which hotel to go to and with the Evason I was not disappointed. We chose to have a pool villa and the all inclusive upgrade, we normally only go bed and breakfast in Thailand because the food outside of the hotels is always good and very cheap. We have been to the area before so we knew there isn’t much in the way of restaurants within walking distance, hence the all inclusive upgrade. I’ll start with the room. It was clean, comfortable, plenty of storage space, lovey bathroom and of course the pool was fantastic. It is very secluded and oh so peaceful, the room and pool were cleaned daily and the staff did an excellent job. Next up is the bar and restaurants, I’m a fussy pants and I can honestly say all the restaurants are absolutely excellent, as is the bar. There is plenty of choice for dining, so if you want something other than Thai then that’s certainly not a problem. Every single meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner were all fantastic. The bar is also brilliant, I don’t drink alcohol (hubby does) so I had non alcoholic cocktails while he has the alcoholic ones and they were lovely. Ok so the all inclusive package, this includes all breakfast, lunch, evening meals and any drinks and snacks. The only buffet you’ll see is breakfast, which is excellent, loads of choice and will suit absolutely anyone. All lunch and evening meals are chosen from the menus, nothing is off limits or has any additional charges, same with the drinks, although I understand some spirits do have an additional charge we never actually had these so I can’t comment on that. If I had to criticise at all it would be to say the mini bar in the room is not included, which is a bit odd since it really only has the same things you would normally get such as cans of soft drinks and local beers. The only other thing we found was that we were charged for lunch and drinks on the 31st December, now I expect to pay extra for gala dinners, that’s a given, but not lunch and drinks during the day on 31st December. We did discuss this with the hotel upon check out and it was sorted out then, but if that’s going to be the case going forward they just need to make that clearer for all inclusive guests. I never place too much emphasis on entertainment, however two of the restaurants had live singers and they were excellent. We did visit the spa on two occasions and both were lovely, I had head and neck massage and hubby had the back massage. I know you can get cheap massages down the road, but you won’t get the feeling of peace and quiet like you will at the spa, so it’s worth going to visit if massages are your thing. Ok so on to the most important people at the hotel, the staff. All so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, they remember you from day one so you feel like you mean something rather than just a room number. They all work exceptionally hard and I’m sure long days, but all you’ll see from them are smiles and a way to make your stay more special. I have to single out one person for us and that was Wan Pehn, she is just lovely, she’s at breakfast and at the Thai restaurant in the evening. Hubby loves mango and they didn’t have any at breakfast so she went to the market to buy him some then had it prepared for him at breakfast. She is an absolute credit to the hotel and a truly lovely person. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, we went at Christmas and New Year and I know from previous experience at other hotels that there can be a bun fight for sun loungers round by the pool by stupid o’clock in the morning, not so here. You can rock up at 3pm and still have plenty of room. Ok lastly the downsides, and frankly they are nothing to do with the hotel. There’s no beach outside the hotel, however they do provide a free shuttle to and from a pretty beach nearby, it takes about 10 mins to get there and they provide you with beach towels to take with you. The other downside is it’s approximately 3 to 4 hours drive from Bangkok airport, but once you are there you can fully relax and enjoy amazing Thai hospitality, the wonderful people and of course the delicious food. I’m sure you’re all done reading by now but I’ll just say one last thing, if you choose this hotel you won’t be disappointed. Read less

We had a week at Evason over New Year 2020. The hotel is in a tranquil and verdant setting with a large pool and lovely grounds. There are lots of activities for children and the entertainers in the evening are very good too. The pool area is spacious with lots of loungers and umbrellas for shade. The breakfast is superb with so much choice - there really is something for all tastes. There are several eateries in the hotel which whilst not cheap are of good quality. There are also numerous great value local restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel. It should be noted that this is not really the place for beach lovers - photos of the hotel suggest that it is on the beach but whilst it is by the sea there is no beach - the nearest is 15 mins away by shuttle from the hotel and is very average - more for local people than tourists. Also from what we saw this is not a particularly picturesque resort and if this is what you are seeking you would probably be better served by one of the islands. That said I would recommend Evason as the positives far outweigh any downsides but it is good to be informed. Also worth noting the approx 4 hour road transfer from the airport in Bangkok so choose your flight times carefully ! Read less

What's not to like in Thailand. Beautiful happy people, great food, cheap but amazing accommodations, sunny and very warm. The only downside is that it takes 23 hours door-to-door from Montreal Canada but well worth the effort.

This is our third time at Evason Hua Hin and it did not fail to disappoint. It’s a tranquil escape from reality. As someone else has said - sleep is not an issue - we had 10 hours+ every single night and could easily have had more. The staff are absolutely amazing. Special mention to Fai in the Six Senses Spa who is amazing and so helpful - the treatments are amazing! My personal favourite was the deep tissue massage. Also a special mention to Wan Penh from King Sah Restaurant. She has been here 17 years and is an absolute credit to Evason. Each time we visit she remembers us and comes to say hello and find out how we are doing. She’s always so interested in us and provides 5 star service - nothing is too much trouble - always reserving our favourite table in any of the restaurants. There is loads to do. This time we just relaxed and literally rested but before we’ve done the trips (Monkey mountain is awesome) such as the National Park which is a difficult trek in the heat but so worth it!!!! We’ve also done the night markets several times - Hua Hin town is a 35 minutes drive away but taxis are easy to arrange and the resort puts on buses too. The local area has plenty of bars and restaurants although we use Evason’s all inclusive upgrade which is great value. An amazing retreat in Thai paradise. Thank you! Read less
