We booked based on positiveTrip Advisor feed back Quite suprised on previous blogs as we had a different view of the resort Met up with lots of other guests and all had the same view Yes the resort can be very quiet when there are no Indian weddings There were two weddings lasting a total of four days during our stay While the weddings were lovely and nice guests attending they take over the whole resort, There are restrictions on where you can go. Restaurants not always open , Main access areas taken up with photo shoots. Some of the second party guests running round at 3am in the morning banging on doors Resort too remote, no draught beer, On the positive side, great breakfast, well organised and very efficient Wonderful staff Nice rooms Very large pool areas We felt the Resort Management is more interesed in catering for expensive weddings than other guests Read less

Unless you are a guest at an Indian wedding, AVOID THIS PLACE. The resort has nice buildings but it is not worth the noise and inconvenience caused by management’s decision to hand over the resort to wedding planners. Some of the issues were: 1. LOUD music from the numerous Indian wedding events. 2. The wedding takes over large areas of the resort, cramming the rest of the guests into the remaining areas. 3. Being shuttled out to a sister resort to avoid congestion 4. Being treated as 2nd class guests when you complain about the stress caused by the wedding 5. Being woken at 3am by loud, drunken guests returning from the wedding functions 6. Management refusing to do anything about the issues, even though complaints on Tripadvisor date back over 3 years The annoying thing is that management will reply to this post with a “cut and paste” response saying they are sorry and trying to improve - but nothing will happen. I feel sorry for other future guests. Read less

We've used the Sheraton at Hua Hin over a number of years. Its convenient - driveable from Bangkok - and not too far out of town. The swin around pool is spectacular for children and the pools are immaculate. Its quite a small property but it does have beach frontage and with Marriott TLE status, its always a good room. So far so good. This trip we availed ourselves more of the dining facilities due to some work being done on the car. The little cafe restaurant in the centre of the pool area was very good and not overly expensive and they do a useful kind of happy hour at the pool and then later on at the cafe next to reception. Again, all good so far. Now the 'but'. It has beocme common practice for the Thailand hotels - at least the Sheraton version - to 'rebrand' themselves as Resorts. What this basically means is that you lose many of the perks and facilities associated with your frequent stayer. As a Titanium Lifetime (aka sad person who stays in hotels too much) this translates to a good breakfast and the highlight for me, the two hours in the lounge. Guess what this property is now doing? Having 'removed' the Lounge, it is now restoring all the standard Lounge privileges - afternoon tea, snacks, a few drinks at sun down - to guests who PAY for this privilege... and its a rather costly privilege. So, in effect, what Marriott (as I think they do the same at the property in the town centre opposite Market Village) has done is allowed you to earn privileges, taken them away for 'cost' reasons and then re-instated them for extra revenue. A cheap trick, unnecessary and somewhat of a minus for the brand. The hotel is OK, its a conference centre venue first and foremost, and a pleasant enough location but there are properties adjacent that are at least as good and given that supposedly high Bonvoy status is almost worthless, just as attractive now to stay at in future. Disappointing. Read less

We had a few drinks and food at Sundara and it was awesome. Sukanya and another staff gave us good service. We used to go bar hoping and somehow decided to drop by here at Sheraton Huahin and it's decision we didn't regret. Keep up the good work.
