This is about the worst serviced resort I have ever been in the 7 years I have been a Platinum Elite member of SPG. I arrived on a weekday after a 3 and half hour trip from Bangkok to have a meeting with the Wedding Sales Manager, Khun Pimsiri to talk about wedding venue possibility in this venue. And probably if I met Khun Pimsiri I would have had a better experience in this hotel. This is because of the team i met in the morning and Khun Pimsiri was very nice and helpful, unlike the team that checked me in. What strikes me first when i came was how deserted the resort was, like the poorly lit environment on the way you came in, and then when we checked in, there was no smiles on the check in staffs. At the moment we were thinking of splitting the occupancy of the room between this hotel and Marriott (which we should have maybe gone to in the first place, and maybe you should too), and was about after check in we would like to have a shuttle transfer to the city, which we need to pay for (no problem with paying). Then the duty manager with all the arrogance in the world and with the authoritative "I AM THE BOSS" tone told us, that a) we can go to town but b) some of the member cannot go back here because they were not registered and we are trying to abuse the resort property and c) We would like to smuggle people in to the resort. Of course I don't mind to pay for the extra rooms, if she could explain the situation. As we were a large party which we did with Marriott Hua Hin (where we were met by the residence manager and got a very good suite) where we got two very nice rooms as well, but the way she told us as if we were mooching and abusing off the resort's facility is a whole new level of accusation I just cannot accept. Mind you I am a Titanium Elite Member of The Marriott Bonvoy, and this is the first time I was not greeted by the GM/FOM/DoR/Starwood Manager of the property in a resort stay, and this is about the first time a duty manager accuse me of abusing a resort facility. Clearly this is not acceptable behaviour, and hence I demand to meet the GM which the duty manager said that he will meet me in the morning (He did not). For the room, we were upgraded (as a perk of being the Titanium Elite Member) to an Ocean Facing Suite, the room was alright, nothing too great to write home about in comparison to Westin Bali's Oceanfront Suite for example. Along the way i got to see the lawn of the hotel which was perfectly landscaped and manicured it was really good gardening and landscaping. The next morning we have our meeting with Khun Pimsiri, which was very friendly, helpful and had apologised profusely for the behaviour of her team, but for me it was clear that the hotel did not want my business. Maybe if I had met her the night we checked in, we would have still done business with the hotel. But we did not, and the damage is done. TL;DR We won't ever come to this resort ever again. Read less

The assistant manager explained that the resort concept of not having a club lounge differentiates the resort hotel from a city hotel. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the wide-ranging facilities. Indeed, there were so many swimming pools in this resort as a number of blocks had direct pool access!!! 👍👍👍 I would certainly like to try one of those rooms next time as I swim everyday for my daily exercise. The beach was nice but we were discouraged from swimming due to the presence of jelly fish during this period. The swimming pool was fabulous as the main pool was connected to a number of the blocks. I had a great time swimming in the extended pool. There are also buses to take you out to town for a small fee. Breakfast was fantastic. The Executive Chef was there helping out....certainly very hands on. It was very crowded and packed but the variety of food was good. Indeed a very memorable and relaxing ocassion. Read less
