We had a view of the beach each morning which was lovely to wake up to. The bathroom was massive and the outdoor shower was a lovely extra. As previously mentioned the food in the hotel is expensive but just a short walk up through the hotel grounds to the main street and you can find a good selection of restaurants for half the price. There is also a good selection of shops where you can get drinks etc to take back to the hotel). There is a good choice of swimming pools which were clean and well maintained and plenty of sun lounges around the pool, our kids loved the slide and the swim up bar (however cocktails are expensive, so make use of the happy hour). We would definitely stay at this hotel again! Read less

I have just spent 9 nights at the Seaview Resort and would stay again in a flash! The location is beach front and beautiful. We had an Ocean Wing Room - 1319. Great size, could see the pool and ocean from the window (obstructed but who cares) and the sound of the waves lulled us into a sweet slumber. The beds were good - a mattress topper softens it that little bit more. Staff were helpful and the food great. The pool areas were always clean and beds were available whenever we were there - the beach side sun beds do tend to go first. You can walk to the main street, where you are pretty much in the centre of town. A cart service is available to run you to the main street from reception. A great option up - walking back is easy as it's down hill. Well done to Adrian and his team for running a professional and clean hotel. Would highly recommend this resort. Read less

We stayed at the Centara resort in Oct 2019. When we arrived we were shown to a family 'deluxe' suite, which smelt badly of damp and dirty with stained sheets. As soon as the lady showed us the room she informed us we could pay for an upgrade if we werent happy with the room, and housekeeping would be along shortly with an oil burner to cover the smell. My wife complained at reception, and was shown 2 connected rooms that we could upgrade to for 500 bhat a night. I then went to speak to the manager and was also told we could upgrade. When I said we werent prepared to pay to upgrade as the family room was not deluxe, smelt badly and was dirty he then found 2 alternative rooms that didnt smell like the first room we were shown. We ended up paying 4000 bhat to reluctantly upgrade the room. You'll notice on Trip advisor that there are lots of people who have paid to upgrade rooms once they have arrived and we were left with the impression that guests are deliberately checked into a substandard room on arrival to force you into paying for an upgrade. We booked through Virgin holidays, and Im sure they wouldnt approve of such practice. Otherwise the hotel is okay. Food options are rather limited, with only one restaurant for dinner. Housekeeping are not very attentive, with shower gel/shampoos not being replaced daily, and noisy dehumidifiers in the bedrooms full of water that we had to empty ourselves. Read less
