My only issue, and it’s very minor, is how much more expensive it is to eat/drink here, go to the village behind for far better prices. We had a group dinner by the API restaurant, set meals, work out to about 70AUD pp (majority of us chose the seafood menu) and it was NOT worth the money, it was quite rubbish tbh. But don’t let that put you off. This was our second time here, we will be back. This place is pricey but worth every cent Read less

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights during our Honeymoon trip around South East Asia, the resort is in an incredible island with a small village just next door. We paid for the organised transfer which picked us up from Phuket airport around 1100 and took us to the Grand Marina. Our boat transfer to the island wasn’t until 1600, so we had a late lunch at the Marina and enjoyed the air conditioning while it was at it’s hottest! Upon arrival to the island the boat reversed right up to the resort - because the tide was in, this wasn’t a problem - however we had seen people arrive while the tide was out and had to be picked up by tractors out on the beach - it’s not as bad as some people have reviewed, but is necessary to gain access to the beautiful resort! We stayed in a bungalow just behind the main restaurant which was more spacious and luxurious than we had expected. The yellow sand and blue skies really made the whole trip incredible. The food at the resort is really nice, but is more expensive than on the mainland. I’d recommend trying the local restaurants in the village - the food is amazing, much cheaper and they make great cocktails! Due to the nature of the island, if you want to wake up to the sea lapping at the beach, you need to wake up early! By 1000 the tide is on its way out and the sun beds only go out a few metres to the sea. The breakfast buffet is amazing - I would recommend going up a few times to make sure you try everything ha! We booked a massage at the spa and the way up there alone was beautiful - so i’d recommend going up there at least once just for the view! You will need mosquito repellant for this resort - just due to the the area, not the resort specifically - all the restaurants/bars in the village provide some on the tables - but there is also a newsagents nearby that sells them too. We also booked a kayak for one o the mornings which turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay! Was lovely to row out to the clear waters and look back at the resort. The staff were all amazing and I would definitely go back! Read less

We had an amazing holiday at this beautiful resort. When we forwarded a photo of the sparkling blue water, which was taken from our balcony, one of our friends responded 'I can't even begin to imagine what heaven will be like'. Our villa was just beautiful. The bathroom had a jacuzzi plus indoor and outdoor showers. The villa was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff at this resort were always friendly and obliging. There was a wide variety of delicious options at the breakfast buffet. We also thoroughly enjoyed dinners at the hilltop Ruan Thai restaurant and at the Beach House restaurant. We would like to send a special thanks to Karin for organising our surprising upgrade. We felt very privileged and pampered. Also a special hello to our new friend, Bew -the English language teacher. During these difficult times we send our best wishes to you all. Please stay safe and healthy. Jeanette and Peter Miller, Sydney Australia Read less

This time we took the resort speedboat from Phuket which worked like clockwork & only took just over an hour. Definitely the way to go! Upon checkin we were greeted by the staff & welcomed back to the resort with a drink & shown to our usual bungalow. Our bed was decorated with flowers spelling out ‘welcome home’. Nice touch! Nothing really had changed since our last visit. All amenities were still as good. We particularly enjoyed the DJ @ the pool bar every afternoon playing chill out tunes - good addition!! Despite other comments about the staff we have always found them friendly & courteous. Special mention to Art - busboy @ pool bar who looked after us very well!! Last year when we were here there was a smoothie station where the fresh fruit was but not this year. This could of been due to hotel being very quiet though? Anyone thinking of going to Phi Phi I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The individual bungalows are lovely & have everything you need - minibar/TV/ sage. You also receive 4 bottles of water everyday which you can put in the fridge. Thank you for looking after us - see you next year!! Read less
