Zeavola Resort

Koh Phi Phi, Thailand

The hotel

Beneath a canopy of tropical trees and stately palms on Phi Phi Island, the village-like Zeavola Resort is the definition of barefoot luxury. Sandy pathways tempt you into the greenery from the white powder of Laem Tong Beach, before opening to reveal the resort’s sumptuous spa, pool, and teakwood suites, featuring al fresco rainfall showers. The forest also hides Zeavola’s Thai restaurant, Baxil, while the beach is the setting for barefoot dining on the sands at the Med-inspired Tacada. Within Phi Phi National Marine Park, this all-suite island escape’s a mere boat trip from turtle- and fish-filled snorkelling and scuba diving paradise.

From the moment you land on the beach until you the moment you leave Zeavola amazes! This is a form of luxury outdoor living that is unlike anything I have experienced before. They are sustainable and ecofriendly which is amazing while still give you a level of luxury that is amazing. The bungalows make you feel like you are living in a house while being outside which allows you to connect with your natural surroundings. While there I did a private dinner on a private island that was amazing as well as a private island hopping tour that was amazing as well. The staff and particularly management are amazing. I will be back again within the year this place is truly special!! Jeff Anderson Read less

We visited Zeavola after 1 week stay in Koh Lanta. Im going to be honest in our review this place was not for us. But, that does not mean it isnt great! For the cost, I would agree with many reviews..its very minimal. We upgraded to ocean front villa after our initial room was not private and a view of public restroom. We found none of the villas very private. I would never choose one with the bathroom outside. This place is cool & different but for the cost $1500 for 4 nights is crazy! The beach is public with a Holiday Inn a few doors down.. I will say the staff were great even with recent cuts due to the virus. If your looking for a rustic Thai experience you might find it here but we were hot at night, eaten by mosquitos and made our coffee outside in jammies with the neighbors in the next villa. The beach is beautiful and we had no problems swimming alone or being under a shade tree but there were 6 guests total this week! We do wish zeavola the best and dont mean any harm as we left 2 days early and rushed home due to flight changes.. they did refund us our 2 nights! Thats wonder business practice 💛 Read less

I stayed in the room with a pool. Was a great room with a great view and excellent staff. I wanted to get away and also get certified to scuba dive. I went through scuba training and had 4 scuba dives outside the resort with the scuba instructor. We also took a tour of the island and the surrounding islands. I highly recommend Zeavola

We spent a week at Zeavola for our wedding in March ‘20. The villa and setting was magnificent - a boutique ‘hut’ (still inc. WiFi, TV, minibar etc...) in a well managed jungle environment fronting directly onto a clean and quiet beach with crystal clear water. The garden suites had private outdoor showers too which were pretty special. The island itself is very remote so is a fantastic place to completely unwind. There is enough amenity to get by and Zeavola’s restaurant/bar were good quality with nice offerings. We had a very easy going week aside from the wedding and spent plenty of time sunbathing and swimming. We also tried some of the activities Zeavola offered - cooking class, island tour, snorkelling, kayaking, spa etc. - and enjoyed them all. The reception staff were also very helpful in organising transportation to Krabi for a day trip via a nearby hotel. I spent a few minutes reading through a few of the other reviews on here. In essence, expect a secluded and paradise-like setting on a remote island and a place to thoroughly relax. Also, expect to be bitten, we certainly were, although the staff were helpful in providing extra repellent when needed. If you are wanting vibrant night life, shopping or an abundance of tours and excursions, spend some time in Krabi or Phuket. The resort and island isn’t as cheap as elsewhere in Thailand but it isn’t ridiculously expensive and the remoteness pretty much justifies the costs. On top of everything, all the staff deserve a special mention. Everyone was extremely welcoming, helpful and polite throughout our stay and we couldn’t be more complimentary about them (we wish we’d have put more effort into remembering more names). They collectively made our holiday extra-special and for that we will certainly return in the future. P.S. if you’re thinking of getting married here, do it! A magnificent place, community and photograph opportunity. Read less
