Good location with a lovely beach view. Pools both had relaxing atmosphere. Staff were friendly. Close to plenty of outside restaurants and shopping without feeling like you're in the really busy part of town. Rooms were nice and always clean. My biggest disappointment was the food. Breakfast lacked variety. I'm used to my options being limited by the need for a gluten free meal, but this was egg, fruit, or pandan cake and what I assume was a bread (you wouldn't know, because neither of the gluten free carb/bread options were labelled). The lunch/dinner menu did not specify any gluten free options. One night we booked in for the hotel Pirate BBQ on the beach. While the atmosphere was lovely, the food again was very poor. All meats were seriously over cooked. I could barely shell my prawns as they were so over cooked and the flavour had gone from them completely. My squid was tough and rubbery. My husband ordered chicken and this was terribly dry and he left most of it on his plate. The BBQ corn had lost all of it's moisture, sweetness, and flavour. Overall, quite a nice hotel, but expect to go off premises for your meals Read less

We stayed at this resort for 12 days in October 2019. Service was very efficient, food was great, and even the manager was often seen in reception and was most helpful. Fantastic spot to relax, close to all of the action on the strip.

The bed is typical of Thailand, harder than we are used to but we expected that. Breakfasts are consistently good and eating on the deck overlooking the beach is very enjoyable. We have used the pool and swum at the beach. The central location is excellent for accessing the centre of Chaweng. Even though it is the low, rainy season the rains have not interfered with any activities we had planned. It is probably better to be here at a quiet time of year. Read less

Our room overlooked the garden pool, and was a short stroll to the second pool in the resort. The resort is centrally located on Chaweng Beach. Deckchairs are on the beach for guests to use. Lovely white sandy beach. Daily breakfast was plentiful in the Chom Talay Restaurant and we were sitting just metres from the waters edge taking in the gorgeous view. The paths are wooden decking, and there are a few stairs around, as the resort slopes downwards towards the sea. Many families were holidaying during our stay, and sometimes could be a bit noisy!! Ok I looked at the other reviews before writing this and here is my take. (I’m currently staying in room 408 today’s date is 16th October 2019) You are bang in the center of a very bustling road that has everything. Nightlife and live music, shopping markets, various local day-trip excursions and it’s all on your doorstep. Yes it can be a little noisy at the front end of the resort nearest the road but down near the middle and beach side it’s peaceful. I had paid for a room with a jacuzzi bath (so slightly more expensive than other rooms) and our room is nearer the beach than it is the road so couldn’t hear any nightlife from that area. The room was beautiful, slightly noisy aircon but you get used to it. The room has a fan (took a while to get it to work as we wasn’t shown that it was switched on via a remote control unit) and we also had to get our head around the bedside control panel (my partner accidentally shut all the power sockets down near the bed by pushing a button with out knowing, however I worked it out and all was good again after about 20 minutes ) The room was cleaned daily but I did have to ask for a second missing robe on arrival. Also we had to ask for new loo roll a few times as they kept forgetting to replace the empty ones as well as a towel and a cup that wasn’t replaced a couple of times. But a quick call to reception and the missing items were in the room with in minutes so wasn’t really a problem. I used the laundry service to wash a few items from our travels the week before in Bangkok and they picked up the items at 10am (you have to call them to come collect) and they were back on the hangers in the room by 10pm the same day all cleaned and ironed, completely faultless service! Breakfast was a nice mix of European and Asian food with an egg station that I used daily. The pool guys are great, they get you your umbrella and help you set up camp no mater where you decide to sit. Bar staff and catering staff all greet you with a smile and on most occasions trip over themselves to bring you a great service. Hotel reception are full of advice, are lovely and friendly they will help you enjoy your break by giving you tips on how to get the most from your stay. I am well travelled and have been to some stunning places but have to say the beach on the edge of this resort is one of the best I’ve been to. It’s clean and well kept, crystal clear waters, golden sand and enough beds for everyone (for October anyway). The two pools are lovely, with bar service at a push of a button (or if in the garden pool, just swim up to the bar!) We attended the bbq night which was very good with 3 of the staff putting on some local dance routines. We also attended the pirates beach night, this is worth doing as there is a fire show around 7:30 along with some lovely self service buffet food. We dined at the Redsnapper bar (which is attached to the resort) and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Some of the drinks are more expensive than the out side bars but not by much so we enjoyed a mix of going out to other places to eat and drink as well as staying in the resort. This place hosts wonderful staff, immaculate grounds, well kept gardens, clean rooms with soaps, shampoos, utility box with shaver, sewing kit and shower cap in it. Hairdryer and towels all in the shower room.. There is even a nice little touch of a games box that has a few board games and playing cards for you to use. Mini bar is stocked but, like most hotels and resorts, is more expensive than normal. Tv has a few limited channels on it but who wants to watch TV when there is so much to explore?!?! One bit of advice (if you are staying for more than a week) is pay 10,000 baht for a gold card (they give you 12,000bht) which means you don’t need to carry cash around while at the resort. My overall experience is that it has been a fantastic week or so at this resort, I still have 3 days left here with my partner and I just wish it was another 2 weeks. Lastly give yourself a treat at the spa, it’s not too expensive for a resort spa and is a great experience (yes there are cheaper spa and massage places down the road but remember you get what you pay for)... Fantastic experience thank you for making it so special for us. Read less
