We stayed in a private pool villa for our honeymoon. When we arrived (around 1pm) we had to wait in the heat until we could check in. We were taken to our room which was well presented however we could not get over the loud cicadas; we had to raise our voice to actually talk over them! When doing research before booking, I never noticed that the resort is on a hill. It's a decent walk to the rooms and then again down to the beach and restaurant. I'm fairly young and fit and I struggled walking that hill, especially in the heat. We ordered room service on our arrival: The Thai food was lovely however the western food was inedible. This continued throughout our experiences at the hotel. I would recommend to only eat their Thai food: their burgers were awful, and pizza and sandwiches were as hard as a rock. The massaman however was the best I have ever had! If you don't mind bugs, frogs and insects then you will be fine at this hotel, however I prefer not to have frogs swimming in, and around my pool. At night, the cicadas are absolutely everywhere, and I hated walking through the resort at night (note, once your out of the resort, they all disappear). As for positives: the beach front is lovely and the breakfast has a decent spread. The drivers were friendly and always happy to help you find a taxi or tuk tuk if they were not available. Location was good; not walking distance to town however only a 200 baht tuk tuk ride or you can catch the hotel shuttle, though the free ones only run 3 times a day and at not very convenient hours. Overall, our stay was okay however I would choose to stay elsewhere when we visit Koh Samui again. Read less

My family and I stayed here for my cousins wedding and the hotel was just amazing. I was in a pool villa suite and can safely say it’s like nothing I’ve stayed in before. The only regret about my stay here is that i didn’t stay in the beachfront pool villa suite

Staff was polite, support and quick responsive. Location is the key advantage of this property. It was away of all chaos of city life and directly accessible to white sandy, clean blue water beach. The property have really scenic view and picturize location. Rooms were really clean, modern with all amenities. We had booked villa with private swimming pool. It was huge and beautifully designed. Overall 5 🌟 to this property and wish to visit again. Best wishes to management and team of Nora beach resort. Read less

Arrived on Monday to stay in a beach front pool villa with my wife and daughter. Had to wait a bit at airport for the hotel driver but that was fine as the drive lasted no more than 5mins Very laid back greeting and not really that welcoming, also insisted on payment immediately for my other daughter who arrives later in the week. Villa is fantastic, clean and spacious with great views of the beach and sea. We had to ask for the extra sun-bed when I feel for the huge amount we paid that would have already been there. They were also dirty and not cleaned. So were the mattresses on the sun beds. We also expected a mattress under the gazebo as in the pictures but were met with blank faces when we asked. Unfortunately this is not the same class as we had last year in Koh Lak. Which is disappointing. Here are some initial bits that we noticed: The beach is not very clean in front of our villa and if you walk 100 yards left there is a huge areas of plastic debris and the same if you walk to the right past the hotel to where another abandoned hotel has horrible metal fences up. Very ugly. We ate in the restaurant the first night which was average and so was breakfast. The mini bar I would have thought as other resorts would have been free but even there you are restricted to two bottles of water. They should at least not charged so much for the drinks which are so cheap in the Seven Eleven down the road. I just think that there are quite a few things where they have not paid enough attention to e.g. Have a couple of people sweep the beach and maybe remove some the seaweed. Then clean the sun beds and make sure the net curtains in the villas are clean. Also sort out the smell of drains you get when the wind changes. I hope things will improve as we are here for another week or so. But so far I can only give them an average score Read less
