We are a family of four with two teenagers. Nora Beach is literally 5 minutes from the airport, and yet perfectly positioned so you never see or hear air traffic. The welcome is typical of the Thai resorts, warm and welcoming. They quickly sorted our check in and upgraded us from rooms to villas! To be honest this made our week here. The villas were spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. We had interconnecting villas, which gave us the space and privacy, and yet we felt safe knowing the kids were in the next room via a door. If you can afford it, upgrade to a villa! We were the closest villa to the reception at the top of the hill. Also seems it’s the place all the local insect wildlife like to hang out, sing and chirp. 🐛 🦗 The beach, pool and restaurants are located at the bottom of the hill. The staff zoom around the resort in the standard issue golf buggies. Walking down the hill to breakfast every morning was spectacular, the gardens are immaculate, so many fruit bearing plants and flowers to see. Breakfast was good. Cereal bar, Asian hot breakfast selection, egg station, fruit selection, yoghurts, juice, selections of pastries and breads. Coffee and tea is served to your table. We are out to eat most nights, but came back in time for the evening entertainment, which was surprisingly good. A fire display on the beach, Traditional Thai dancing, live music to name a few. The local restaurants are to be found in town, turning left out of the hotel. There isn’t a path, but we soon were confident walking the 5 minutes to town. Our favourite restaurant was Lecker Smecker, very cheap, good quality food, lovely lovely staff. The swimming pool was nice, especially with the swim up bar. Although after a week, it feel like it needed a clean, the water was a bit scummy. May have been a one off thing as it was fine when we arrived. The beach is gorgeous, clear and clean. You can walk across to the island, you just need shoes as there is broken coral along the route. (Or kayak it!) Overall, we had an amazing relaxing time here, great base to explore the island from. We did several trips, Including Jeep tour of the island (highly recommended), Boat trip to see pink dolphins (we saw them!), local markets and snorkelling. It’s a beautiful small resort, we loved staying here! Read less

We had a beautiful stay at the Nora Beach Resort and Spa. The rooms were lovely and spacious. The outside shower is great! The staff are all very kind and generous. The sea and pool are both quiet and relaxing. The spa was fantastic, super relaxing experience.

Pool was a decent size but we only had 2 sunloungers and when we asked we were told there were no extras , seems odd when there's 3 off us in villa surely you would have put 3 sunloungers there. Last day we stumbled apon a pile off sunloungers behind the resteraunt so not amused we were told there wasn't any . I'm paying an adult price for my 16year old , so I expect a sun lounger for her. Sort it out Nora Beach look at how many people you have in your villas. Only down fall to this hotel, there is no indoor resteraunt with aircon!!! So your outside getting eaten alive from mosquitos unfortunately. Close to Chewang and Bo Phut easily get a shuttle bus ,tuk tuk or taxi Night markets at fisherman's village best night Friday night, lots off market stalls and street food as well as resteraunts and shops ECT. Chewang has a shopping mall , caberats shows and boxing stadium Read less

The Pool area looked large and well designed although we didn't use it. If you're after a few really special nights, I'd recommend one of these Villas where the room Numbers start with 70.. Not too far from town and close to the airport as well but not in the flight path. We didn't hear planes at all while we were there.Would definitely stay here again. Read less

The demolition work started in the morning 8:00 and supposed to finish at 17:00 but sometimes carried on until 18:00. We could hear the noise even near the pool area. Travellers booking this hotel, be aware not to book superior rooms and also check with your tour operators about the progress of building work. When we left on 8th July, 2019 it was flattened to the ground! We were not advised about the impending demolition works at the adjoining hotel by our tour operator and neither we were told about it when checking in, in fact we were given an upgrade to a suite for one of the rooms and a complimentary dinner but what good does it all do when you had wanted was to relax and unwind from your daily toll and end up having to tolerate bulldozers and diggers!
