We stayed here for 10 nights for our Honeymoon. Was surprised about arriving and having to walk across a floating jetty! for a hotel that is meant to be 5* this needs to be addressed. I hurt my knee having to do this one evening which put me off going out in the evening. At the hotel the staff are super friendly but the staff at the port when you need to get the boat back are not, sometimes they were extremely rude The hotel was lovely, rooms are clean and spacious. As part of our Honeymoon package we upgraded to go into the members area for breakfast and afternoon tea - have to say all the ladies that work in there are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The spa is amazing, well worth a visit That first morning waking up it was like paradise just beautiful. Some more evening entertainment is needed. The fire show is great but its the same thing all the time! its a private island, would be good to have beach bar where people can have drinks and dance My biggest bug with the hotel was the price of food and drink, it was very expensive and they put service charge on everything and then on the bill leave a space asking if you want to then add a tip! I don't the mind the 10% for dinner as this is standard but if I am ordering a bottle of water which you pass to me from a fridge you shouldn't then put 10% on this as well. The prices you see also don't include the tax so it all adds up. Burger and chips with a soft drink x 2 works out about £60! The biggest rip off was the Thai night which was a buffet with 4 alcoholic drinks cost us £135! The staff in the restaurants are very friendly and the food was lovely but they do make mistakes and had to send our food back on a few occasions Overall had an amazing time here but 10 days was a bit to long with the price and lack of entertainment. I would come back again but 5/6 days would be better Read less

We got special decorations on our bed. Our room have very good sea view and it’s 5mins walk to the pool. We expected to see some monkeys in the balcony but there wasn’t any. breakfast 10/10 Thank you Amy at the egg station making great omelette every morning and great smile. room 9/10 staff 4/10 facilities 7/10 wifi 10/10 thai buffet dinner 4/10 overall experience was just ok. There are so many annoying indian groups and families staying. Every time I pass through their rooms they play some stupid indian music very loudly. I was lucky my room was not near to any indians. During check out 4 staff are serving 2 indians groups checking out and a white male staff busy chatting with another indian group. We have to wait 15mins until we can check out. I just felt I am not treated equally. The staff who checked out for us forgot to give us bus vouchers from the pier to our next hotel as she was too busy with the indians. Read less

The hotel food is good although quite pricey, and breakfast was delicious with everything you could wish for! The location is superb although access is only either by boat or by the monkey trail which is around 100 steps up & over 150 back down.... a bit of a work out and rather sweaty when your going out on a night! We used the boat which wasn't a problem once you get used to the rather wobbly jetty, but the boatmen were really helpful and we mastered it pretty quickly.... over all we would definitely recommend this hotel but the access issues may be a problem for some people. It is a bit odd to walk on the very flexible dock they have but you can get used to it. The service in general is very good with assistance with luggage and information regarding the room upon check in. The beach is very good for swimming when the tide is in and the beach side bar was also very good. Should you wish to walk from the resort to Ao Nang it is a bit of a hike on the monkey trail and the stairs are a vigorous workout, so a boat trip may be a better idea. Rooms were nice and the service level was very good, I would like to visit this location again, This is a boating culture so plan on taking boats as opposed to taxi to get to your desired destination.
