I must say one of the things which stood out for me at Chada Thai village is that this resort is much bigger than it seems. On the pictures it does not seem as big. The rooms are neat, clean but also a bit old school mixed with a little new. There was no lift on the side we stayed on so be prepared to climb at least a flight of stairs. The staff is very friendly but they struggle to understand some basics such as a room with a double or larger bed. But you can make them understand what you need. The food at the hotel is nice, not something crazy to shout about but it's decent. The nice thing I found about this hotel is the location, it's not too far from the beach but also in a quiet area close to shops, massage and many other amenities, so you won't go wrong. All in all a good place to stay very decent! Read less

We arrived in the morning and were greeted with a cool drink and towels and allowed to check in straight away which was great as we had not slept. The room was large with good air con. It is a little dated but I preferred this as the style of the room was more traditional. They left a lovely flower on the bed most days. There were large patio doors with views over the pool area. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good pressure with plenty of hot water. The room was clean. Breakfast was nice with lots of choice and you could eat inside or outside. My husband loved the Thai curry for breakfast. The hotel pools were peaceful with no music playing. There was always available loungers. You could sign out towels for the pool and for the beach. We liked the location of the hotel. It was ten minutes walk from the main area although there were places to eat directly opposite the hotel. This meant that it was very peaceful. Ao Nang is a good base to explore the area as you have all the boat trips. We went to Railay beach for the day and did a four islands tour and a tour of Phi Phi islands. We also took a taxi to Tiger temple for the morning. There are loads of good restaurants in Ao Nang with all types of food on offer. Without exception all the staff at the hotel were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Always smiling and saying hello. We were very happy with our choice of hotel which surpassed our expectations and would recommend. Read less

I wasn't thrilled we booked this hotel after reading the reviews but I was very impressed and would definitely stay here again. Fantastic location for great places to eat. I highly recommend Kodam Kitchen which is just outside the hotel. Turn left and then right at the ally way and down the stairs. We were on the 3rd floor and had a family room, which was huge. Breakfast was good with a nice select of hot and cold food and fruit. The private beach was fabulous but you need to book the day before, plus you can take towels with you too just sign them out at reception. We arrived at about 9am after an 11 hour flight and 2.5 hour transfer. Check in wasn't till 12 but the let us check in straight away as our room was ready. Which was really nice of them as I was tired and hungry but then. Read less

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chada Thai Village Resort. The staff were so happy, polite and helpful and would do anything for you. The resort and the rooms are immaculate and have everything you could possibly imagine. Comfortable large beds, spotlessly clean bathroom, fabulous balcony with complete privacy and so quiet with complimentary umbrella, sliders, slippers and robes, massive TV, free wifi and air-con, superb pool areas, a small but well equipped gym, good restaurant and bar and just a great feel to the whole place. No louger hoggers, noisy kids or drunks etc., just a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We arranged a few Island trips with the in-house rep by the entrance. Not much more if the same as on the street for prices, but for me peace of mind that we could chat to the friendly rep about every aspect of the trip and she'd also make sure our transport was on time - great service. We didn't eat at the restaurant other than breakfasts (which were very good and had an excellent selection of hot and cold food on offer) as there are so many places to eat and drink in the area. Make an effort to get out - you won't be disapointed. Even if one of the monsoon rain storms hits and you don't fancy walking in the rain, there are a few very nice places to eat straight opposite the hotel. We visited the beach club a few times and loved it. We did hear some people complain as they thought it was a five star luxury beach club. No. It's Thailand not LA. You are taken to a private beach area about 15 minutes away from the hotel (by free shuttle) with loungers and deck chairs under trees - all which have seen better days and the bar/restaurant is more like a back-packers place, but that is what gave the place it's charm for us. Above all it's an unbelievably beautiful and quiet beach. There are some cute dogs (owned by the bar not strays) but there are also a couple of cheeky monkeys that come down from the trees to tease the dogs (and steal your goodies). We loved it for what it was and couldn't understand how anyone could moan, but they do! The only downside to the resort is that we had to leave it. Wish we were still there! Read less
