Arrived after about 30-40 mins from the airport at around 8.30pm. Booked a private transfer but still the taxi driver hung around for a tip. I just wanted to get to my room. No one around at the concierge desk but then woman arrived greeted us and ushered us in side. Reception is outdoors with a covered entrance area. Checked in - all pretty easy and then asked to wait in the lobby to hear information about the hotel. We were shattered after a very long day but we’re advised to book our Christmas Eve meal - which we did. Then retold limited hotel info - is restaurant open and closing times. Shown to our room - floor was very slippy en route. Room ok, not as nice as I’d been advised/seen in pictures. Bit of a musty smell and very little storage for 4 peoples baggage - but we managed. The smell comes back every now and again too. Shower and toilet have a shutter door that opens into the room - bit odd. Given complimentary shower sliders and spa sandals - that was a nice touch. We also had cottonish robes. The safe is a key safe so you have to carry the key around with you - bit annoying. Much prefer the code access safe. There is also a phone in the room which lets you call UK for free, has local information on tours, eateries and shopping - all very useful. Be warned if you lose it it’s $400US to replace!! Day trip to private beach club was a complete waste of time - nothing there, better off going to Ao Nang beach 20 mins walk away to enjoy the fabulous sunset. No sun lingers though. Pools at hotel are ok. Pool towels have seen better days. Sun loungers are awful. Great big heavy metal things that you need the strength of an ox to move and because they’ve got plastic covered foam toppers they get really hot too. Pool bar is ok, not a great deal of choice. We ate lunch outside of the hotel, better choice and a hell of a lot cheaper. Got our new year table booking wrong and told us it was our fault. Hotel was in the midst of being rebranded whilst we were there - going from Krabi Thai Village to Chada resort. Spa closed completely - work going on that didn’t affect us. Easier and cheaper to get a massage at one if the many places outside of the hotel. Did have an in room massage which was lovely though. Christmas and new years gala events were amazing; great entertainment and lots of extra effort from the staff. Hotel was due to be going through a makeover and I really think it will benefit from this. Location good - 10/15 mins walk to the beachfront to watch the amazing sunset and mill around in the bars and restaurants. Read less

I would recommend to take a long tail boat to Ralay beach which is much better from Ao Nang beach. The rooms were not the most recent but there were in a good condition nice and big with views of the pool The bed was comfortable. There's also a playground and a watersilde for kids. The staff was nice and welcoming. The breakfast was a buffet with a good variaty. They have complementary a shuttle to a beach which is outside the town. In general this hotel is big but pretty quiet and it doesn't seem to offer typical resort entertaiment. Overall this hotel is a good value and it's located in a quiet place sourounded by a forest. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the rooms too at no extra cost. You even get an umbrella in case of rain storms. The rooms on the 3rd floor tend to be split level family rooms and are just amazing. There are 4 pools, 2 for general use, 1 for children and 1 solely for adults only. Have to say all the pool areas are generally quiet as people tend to use the beach or jump the local boats. If you need anything the staff are great, only too happy to help and they are super with children. I have to say my 3 year old grandson can test anyone’s patience but they were wonderful with him. We only tend to book B&B and have to say the breakfasts are excellent, lots of choice and eat as much as you like. There is a Lobby bar area which is lovely and ‘Happy Hour’ is available daily 7-8 pm and 10-11 pm where they operate a 2 for 1 system. Happy Days ........ The location is quiet, approx 1km from the main beach area, the Long Tail Co-operative and it is a pleasant walk. There are a number of restaurants just across from the hotel if you didn’t want eat here in the evening, all reasonably priced and very good. As I said we have stayed here several times now and will be back next April for another 3 weeks, we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. Read less

I would recommend this hotel, staff friendly, rooms large with everything you need for your stay even umbrella and beach bag. Hotel very central with 3 excellent restaurants near by, carnivore, hilltop and bussata. Breakfast has a good variety, egg station, breads, pastries, hot and cold meats, good variety of fruits. Thank you enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel with good split level family rooms but is 3 story walk up (no lift) which may not suit everyone. We were not advised they were completing renovations so most of hotel was closed. Nice hotel with good split level family rooms but is 3 story walk up (no lift) which may not suit everyone. We were not advised they were completing renovations so most of hotel was closed. We checked in and went to pool for swim and drink to find one pool closed (the one with slide that kids were looking forward to) and the sound of jackhammers rather disruptive so took them up on offer to move to the sister property. Reception staff helpful and very apologetic. Read less
