Having visited Rayavadee in Krabi several times, I am continually impressed by its unique blend of natural beauty, exceptional service, and luxurious accommodations. Nestled on the stunning Railay Beach, flanked by dramatic limestone cliffs and accessible only by boat, Rayavadee offers an exclusive escape that feels like a private paradise. The resort is famous not just for its breathtaking location but also for its lush gardens and the local wildlife. During my stays, I've enjoyed the delightful sight of monkeys playfully roaming the grounds and even venturing near the pool area, adding a charming element of adventure to the experience. The villas are luxurious and provide all the comforts one could expect from a world-class resort, with private pools and spacious, elegantly designed interiors. Dining at Rayavadee is a culinary journey, with several restaurants offering everything from traditional Thai cuisine to international dishes, all set against the backdrop of Krabi's iconic scenery. One of the highlights of Rayavadee is its beaches, known to be among the best in Thailand. The crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches are ideal for relaxation and water activities. Although the beaches are public and can get busy during peak times, the mornings and late afternoons provide quieter moments to enjoy the serene setting. Rayavadee's commitment to service is evident in the staff's attention to detail and readiness to ensure every guest's stay is memorable. Whether it's arranging a special dinner on the beach or providing insights into the local area, the staff go above and beyond. For those seeking a luxury resort with a perfect mix of natural beauty, privacy, and top-notch amenities, Rayavadee in Krabi is an exceptional choice. It remains a favorite for my Thai getaways, and I look forward to returning soon. Read less

A hidden oasis. The hotel is situated between Railay, Nammao and Phranang beach. It’s an unbeatable location, the wildlife is just phenomenal, Monkeys, Lizards are just constantly seen roaming around, it’s simply a brilliant experience. Railay beach is really busy and probably 50 plus longtail boats at any one time, these do give you an opportunity to explore local islands or go to Ao Nang, for shopping. However they do bring in lots of tourists, the hotel security are great at managing this and are all very friendly. We were staying in a Family pool villa, it’s a fantastic space, we have two children aged 11 and 14, the villa has two large bedrooms, large lounge and a lovely outdoor private pool. The hotel has three main restaurants, Thai, European and Asian, these are all of a great standard but ultimately and as expected higher prices than typical Thailand. The staff are fantastic so friendly and helpful. We went on two trips organised by the hotel, Koh Klang eco island discovery. This was amazing to see how the local Thai people live, we travelled on a tuk tuk to meet a Thai family, had lunch on the river, somewhere we wouldn’t have ever thought of eating, overall a real eye opener for all the family, certainly makes you appreciate how fortunate we are. Second trip was to Hong island, a beautiful beach and scenery, again a great experience. Our guides for both trips were brilliant. There is plenty to do, our boys had a squash lesson and a Thai boxing lesson, we used kayaks/paddle boards, and the gym (which is small but I believe is being updated). A minor niggle is the housekeeping was a be hit and miss, for example, leftover fruit was sometimes left in the villa for a while, pool towels were not always replaced and the blinds were left closed during the day, a bit strange really. I believe the garden staff also once a day help to clear any rubbish left by tourists or the tide from all three beaches, they do a great job, tourists please take your rubbish with you or bin it!! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, couples or families. Read less

We stayed for six nights. Our villa (pavilion) had a pool although we didn’t use it. Firstly, I’d like to say how immensely polite, helpful and kind all of the staff were. Throughout our stay, everyone was brilliant. A special thank you to Lunar who helped us with many plans. I’d also like to highlight the pool side staff, who were very attentive and worked so hard. The weather was very hot and humid. At times, a bit too uncomfortable. The whole resort is spacious, well looked after and certainly rustic. Lots of wildlife, monkeys, giant lizards and unfortunately the sea was full of jellyfish. Literally hundreds, even littering the beaches. This soured our appetite for sea swimming and beach walks involved dodging them. Our villa was kept very clean, and was comfortable. Lots of bottled water, snacks and quite spacious. There are clearly marked walkways and easy to navigate. Breakfast was excellent, lunch choices very good and we tried all four evening dining options. Generally very good, but not quite the wow factor. We did their fire, ice and roast buffet at the very scenic grotto. This had plenty of choice but we found the service a tad slow. The pool area near Railay beach was nice, although not a large number of sunbeds. The beach itself offered a nice walk but was very crowded and lots of local boats that were constantly quite noisy. A small gym, a lovely Spa and overall a very enjoyable vacation. The sunset view from the grotto is absolutely stunning and I think the management could develop this area for more late drinking and cocktails, maybe a cool Chill out DJ ? A huge thank you to all of the staff, genuinely lovely people. Read less
