Wonderful Hotel with friendly staff. Tropical Area are the quieter rooms. Lagoon ideal for families as close to the children's pool. Spa is great value with daily specials displayed. Activities arranged for children and adults. Lots of fun here but equally you can quietly relax around the adult pool. All round great holiday.

Again another hotel picked solely on trip advisor ratings and we were not disappointed. Again another hotel picked solely on trip advisor ratings and we were not disappointed. A large resort of 3 main blocks, each with its own pool, we paid a little extra for an upgraded 2nd floor room with a pool view in the quieter block 3. Block 2 surrounds a big kiddy pool with slides and games, so this is where most of the young families hang out, block 3 seemed to be where the older people hung out...perfect for me! The block 1 pool is adults only if you need a break from the kids! All pools have a swim up pool bar for drinks and snacks, plenty of sun beds and plenty of room. Our room was fine (Although needed a spruce up tbh), clean and had everything you’d need including a really comfy bed! The rooms are serviced daily and can be ‘turned down’ on request. The staff are friendly and very helpful. There are restaurants on site with a wide selection of foods, we tended to eat in the Azure restaurant for breakfast (as it was included in our deal) and then eat out at night. There are plenty of other things on site to keep you occupied, such as a well equipped gym, tennis courts, spa, ping pong. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the middle of everything and a 5 minute walk to a fab beach where you can rent a sun bed for 100bht a day.... the beach is long and sandy, the sea is lovely and warm with just the right amount of crashing waves for fun, but be careful of the very strong rip currents ( which took me for a ride more than once, and even being a large chap and a good swimmer, I was powerless, so keep an eye on the small folk!). only swim between the flags. Lots and lots of shops and restaurants, and a large night market on a Tuesday and a Friday night. Overall, a very nice place to stay, you won’t be disappointed....we would definitely come back here. Top Tips. Don’t book any trips or taxis from the hotel as they are expensive, there are literally hundreds of places to book trips and cheap taxis line the streets. Definitely do a trip to the Phi Phi Islands and an ethical elephant sanctuary...both excellent! Eat at a different place every night, some of the restaurants might look a bit suspect but they are cheap and we never had a bad meal in 2 weeks. The Irish Bar right by the entrance to the hotel is also has very good food at good prices and lots of tv’s for the football! It’s very hot in the mornings and then tends to be cooler after lunch, so mornings by the pool and trips in the afternoon are best. Don’t worry about the rain, it rained every day we were there at about 2pm, but only for a while and then cleared up....except one day when it was torrential and flooded the Main Street and all the shops waist deep! It did also flood the kids pool which had to be closed, drained and cleaned but this only took a couple of days...A freak event I’m sure and no real inconvenience to use one of the other pools. Don’t pack the kitchen sink, you can get you clothes laundered and ironed for about £1.50/kg right outside the hotel! In short, we would definitely come back to this hotel Have fun Phil & Lyn Cardiff Read less

Breakfast has everything you could possibly need. The hotel is very well set up for families with plenty of activities and a kids pool with water slides etc. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is because the rooms are dated. We enquired about upgrading to a cabana room with a private pool but just like the other rooms they are very dated and in need of an upgrade. So if the hotel rooms are upgraded it would be a 5 star hotel. Read less

The staff at Carpe Diem (Kids activites) were great. Mei Joe and Tin had so much energy and our kids 4, 8 and 10 loved the activities and games. Mei in particular was very caring and friendly. This resort is great for families. The rooms down at the bottom pool are handy to everything and cleaned and tidied every day. Staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. The resort is handy to town and shops and markets. I do want to mention Moey in the reception area as she was very helpful and was always smiling.
