Atmosphere is relaxed with a good vibes and good mix of guests. Patong has an amazing beach and in centrally located for trips around Phuket. The TUI direct flight from Manchester was excellent and the premium class upgrade very good value for money. We are frequent visitors to Phuket and this was our best holiday here yet. We played golf 6 times and had excellent service from the team at Phuket Golf Holidays. We had room 7313 - in the newer annex - it was perfect for us, a fair walk to the restaurant but nice and quiet. Can’t wait to return! Read less

I’m still here now, for a further 5 days. My girlfriend and I arrived extremely late (5am Thai time) after 8+ hour delays with our already flight(s), caused by flooding in Dubai. I had not slept in 2 days and felt pretty damn awful. The check-in staff were welcoming and spoke good English. We put our card down as you have to pay a 5000 baht deposit in case of any damage. We knew this going in, but it might come as a shock to others. We were given a cold face towel which helped with the humidity. Before I ramble on, here’s a check list of pros and cons (in my opinion): Pros. - Lovely hotel. Patong is rather hectic and overwhelming to a reserved introvert such as myself... once in the hotel you wouldn’t know it. - We were shown to our room and luggage was carried on our behalf. - Our room was very clean and can be cleaned each day where desired. - The location is good. Depending on your trip, there is plenty to see and do. Please choose ethically and do not support things like the Zoo, Elephant riding, etc. - There are four pools and often these are very quiet for such a large resort. - The staff all seem really friendly and Thai people are sweet. - The gardens and plants are well kept. - The rooms have air-con. It’s not exactly quiet, but necessary at night. Cons. - The food is very repetitive, particularly in the evenings, and there is not a lot of choice for vegetarians. We are travelling half-board through Virgin, but the food is already quite boring (3 days in). The restaurants inside can be very quiet, leading to a dull atmosphere, and so I’d have preferred a B&B visit as there are lots of other (better) places to eat. - Paying half-board means you’re restricted to buffets/set-menus and have to pay extra for other snacks. The hotel could be more flexible around this, as most people can’t eat too much anyway. - We were assigned tickets that have to be presented at each meal. On one occasion, we had to sign our names on the vouchers. The hotel would do better to present different wristbands to guests, i.e blue for B&B / orange for half-board. - There seems to be a lot of staff without anything to do. I’m sure there are busier periods, and we have been eating rather late, but I feel they must be a bit bored. This leads to too much attention and a sense of being shadowed or waited on. - Drinks (which aren’t on tap) can take a while to come out, as the Coconut Coffee Club don’t seem to have them inside. The waiters leave the room and return minutes later. Not a big deal by any means, but when you’re the only ones in the restaurant it could be quicker. - The room fridge is filled with drinks, and you can buy water in the room. Compared to the 7-Eleven across the road, all of these are overpriced. The hotel could quite easily provide a bottle of water upon arrival, given you can’t drink the tap water. All in all, I would recommend this hotel highly. Just don’t restrict your eating to here, or you will likely soon become bored, especially if you’re not a big meat/fish person. Thanks for reading and I hope the hotel can take the constructive criticism on board. It’s really a beautiful hotel. Read less

The bar is very expensive so I would recommend buying beers from the local shop! Massages on offer but again more expensive than massage places in town. I would not stay here again as I think it was over priced for what is was. Decent location very near the beach and all the facilities on the main drag. Read less

Basically the pools are the highlight the passages from the rooms are boiling and remind me of a hospital but otherwise we had a great stay. The position is perfect for running around Patong, literally across the road from the beach and the hotel itself is quiet. Breakfast was adequate - not great but given it was included in the already cheap price. The beach at Patong is fun - usually very busy but the water isn’t as clean looking as every where else. All in all we had a great stay at a very reasonable price! Read less
