After a long and tiring flight, we arrived at hotel about 6.30am, only to be told that check in time was 3pm, so it was not worth paying extra for a private taxi transfer. Additionally, we were toldif we upgrade we would get room earlier, not convinced, we were told beds and room would be better.as check in time was 3pm, repeated several times. thought about upgrading as it would be a long 8 and a half hour wait in the lobby, but when shown the upgrade was the room that we should have been given in the first place, we declined the offer, it seems tui and hotel have got their room description wrong. I would advise you to take photos of package including room that you will be getting as a record. After waiting for two hours went back to reception to see any progress, being a different member of staff, i explained we were very tired and unwell and needed washing after such a long flight and time difference playing a part, unlike the previous staff, she explained to us the situation and showed a lot more compassion, she showed me the facilities we could use while waiting and would try to get the room as soon as possible and would come tell us when room was ready, which she did. The second disappointment was the small size of the room, being three of us they stuck a extra bed right up to the balcony doors, leaving no space for anything else. The good things about the hotel is that it is very relaxing place to stay, you need to know the times of high/low tide to enjoy the beach, There are three swimming pools all very nice not too crowded, you also have waiter service(drinks charged to room), free refreshing fruit and cool face towels throughout the day, facilities and food was excellent, Most staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Location was a bit secluded, had one convenience store and a few restaurants up the hill, they were ok. The Hotel did provide a shuttle bus to Patong, free in the morning but charged 200 Bhat per room in late afternoon, free return back. Taxi outside hotel are expensive, they charge same price as hotel, very little room for haggling. If you plan and book from tour and travel shop in Patong it would work out cheaper, especially booking 5 hour tour slot of your chosen points of interest, rather than point to point. Overall the hotel is ideal if you just want to enjoy the sun and chill out, but close enough to Patong(15-20 mins shuttle ride) for food, shopping, massage and tours for a bit of everything.Plan your days out as taxi/tuk tuks can add up. After a holiday in Bangkok and Cambodia we decided to spend our final week in the Marriott, we have been to Phuket many times before and loved the place, we decided to upgrade our room and changed our B and B status to all inclusive, so pleased we did as we where just wanting chill in the hotel instead of venturing out. This hotel was beautiful with fantastic service throughout, we never had a bad meal throughout our stay everything was perfect. The only criticism I would say is the situation with the beach beds, people would go down on a morning stick there towel on a bed and walk away, the hotel policy is to allow this for 45 mins before removing the said towels, this was never done, there was one stage where my wife decided to take a bed as it had been left for over 90 mins, she then sat on the bed for 4 and a half hours before a Eastern European came and said the bed was hers as she had left her towel on it. Fortunately my wife said that the hotel staff had removed the towel as it was left for 90 mins. The hotel was only 40% full because of the virus worry and if it was at capacity you would be very lucky to get a bed on the beach. The Spa was absolutely fantastic and all the girls where experienced but I stuck with Tuk she was fantastic. I would also like to send a big thank you to Bell on reception she was very welcoming and helpful when we required a tailor always had a lovely smile on her face and couldn’t do enough for us bless her. This is a beautiful hotel and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely holiday experience with fantastic pools and beautiful beach thanks to all the staff for an excellent stay. I will definitely use again if coming back to Phuket Read less

The quality of the food is superb and there is probably slightly more variation than in your standard resort. Getting something to eat outside of the resort is also easy due to the short distance to Patong Beach with more choice for food & entertainment than you will ever need. The location is very pleasant sitting just on the beach with two big main pools. There are also plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy. Gym, pool tables, ping pong, kids club, tennis courts, kayaks etc... Will definitely come back again. Read less

I've just returned from two weeks spent here with my family and I think it is the first time I have been truly sad to be leaving a hotel after two weeks. Food: Absolutely incredible, you will find something to enjoy for as long as you stay. The Thai food is unlike any you can get in the UK and very authentic, we also greatly enjoyed the Muay Thai nights on Fridays where there is an authentic Thai Buffet and live cooking stations for Satay and Fresh Papaya salad. The Italian restaurant is very good also, being of Italian descent I am quite picky about this but the food was excellent with a nice choice of Wines, I understand the chef is an Italian also. Rooms: We had Swim up Rooms 4104 & 4102, they were amazing, I have never bothered with Swim up rooms in hotels before but this made our holiday, it was so nice to have a peaceful pool straight out of your room. All Inclusive: Quite simply this was the best All-Inclusive we have had in our lives, the beauty is, this isn't your traditional All-Inclusive the hotel offers Bed and Breakfast and Half Board etc so the food and drinks are made for paying customers, not just cheaply done All-Inclusive food to maximise profit, all premium drinks too. I would just like to stress to anyone unsure due to some incorrect statements by other reviewers, you can get 99% of the food and drink on the All-Inclusive package, there are probably one or two dishes on each of the large menus that require a supplement and even if you want them, it is literally THB 200 (Approx £5-£6) far from unreasonable. Do not miss this opportunity, it is such a good deal. Service: There is not a single member of staff that did not go out of their way to help us and make sure we had a nice time, they are a true credit to the hotel and we felt very lucky to have them look after us. Lounge: Would like to mention the Saturday Night Band, lovely pair of guys that clearly enjoy what they do and were very fun to listen to. Location: Perfect for us, it is a short distance to Patong but in a quiet area so you have the option of both, the Snorkelling was amazing straight off the beach on the Reef, and then you can go to the Rum Shack for a nice drink. Staff Mentions - This is not a full list because every member of staff was amazing and I'm sorry to any I forget or misspell. I will only give the names because to type about how they looked after us would take all day. Lounge: Niew, Oraya Beach Grill and Rum Shack: Rainy, Tar Restaurants: Boom, Ajew, Erin, Alpi, Gabriela, Charlyne, Smile Wellness Bar: Bee and Mam Reception: San Room: Noochy & Jitt Thank you to everyone. We have just returned from this superb resort and had the time of our lives. We had a swim up pool room which made our stay extra special being just 2 steps from the water, but it was the interaction with the superb staff that made the holiday. The hotel has a superb private beach with its own reef just offshore which means if you are a snorkelling fan you will love it, all types of colourful fish and marine life are right there no travel needed. The restaurants need special mention also especially the Thai pantry where we had some fantastic food, if you like Thai food you will be amazed how much better it can be than even the best in the uk. As mentioned in the title of the review it was the lovely staff who made our stay special and it is because of them that we can’t wait to return next year. Read less
