It was a long trip to the resort from the airport. Almost an hour. And after lots of traveling we were exhausted and just ready for our vacation to start. When our Grab driver (Thailand’s version of Uber. Sooo much cheaper than taxis/tuk tuk) pulled up to the gate of our resort the security walked around the vehicle with a low mirror, checked to make sure we were guests from the driver and that actually made us feel like we were definitely in a safe place. Although we have been to Thailand before and always feel safe. Thai people are so wonderful. Our driver was so incredibly nice and funny that we decided to stick with him for several other things. He gave us an incredible deal to just drive us around all day so we had to recommend him to others. I listed his contact information and he will take care of you! There was so many friendly faces and greetings from the staff as we entered the lobby. Which was beautiful. The general manager named Nacho personally greeted us and took us to be seated while we checked in. He had someone bring us a special tea they make in Thailand. It was purple and so unique. On the same tray they had rolled up cold damp towels for us which we immediately were thankful for with the humidity. Nacho said we could call on him if we needed recommendations or had any questions, then he passed us along to Daniel who was to finish our check in. Daniel was so nice. He said he was from Spain. He was finishing his bachelors degree in hotel hospitality so his kindness was very organic. We could tell he loved his job. He thanked us for being Marriott Elite members and said they had upgraded us. That was exciting! We were shown a map of the beautiful resort grounds and escorted to our room. It was stunning. We had a huge bathroom with a standing shower and bathtub. We almost didn’t want to disturb anything as the bed had beautiful flowers decorated on it alongside a towel shaped like a monkey. My husband and I were instantly drawn to the back door where we had a little patio with chairs to relax. The best part was the steps lead straight into a pool. This pool was not like the other TWO pools on the other side of the resort. It had really comfortable well made cloth like floats and was almost like a lazy river that you’d see at your local community pool. There was a sitting area and bridge in the middle. I did spend some time relaxing on the float and I saw one woman reading on another. It was quiet with only a few other guests and families. Daniel came back to our room and asked if he could take our picture. The day we left he had set the picture in a frame with a thoughtful card thanking us for spending time at the resort. He even wrote little details about things we had talked about when we arrived. The resort had a private beach which was a little small but nicely intimate for a break from the crowds. They also had a butterfly sanctuary and a coral reef there for guests to view. The main pool is set in front of two restaurants. It connects to another more kid friendly pool through a tunnel between some of the resort buildings. They have a kids zone around the family pool as well as a spa in that area. Every evening they have live music near the bar located across the lobby. The woman who sings has a wonderful voice. Ok, now let’s talk about breakfast ! I’ve never seen such a grand selection of food at any resort for breakfast. They had all kinds of foods that would suit many different cultures. It was full of staff making fresh made to order foods as well as freshly squeezed juices too. We had our breakfast outside in view of the pool and beach. We were always rushed in the morning but we could of sat there under the fans, stuffing our faces, and just relaxing in the view forever. The concierge was so friendly and honest. She set up several activities for us and made it incredibly quick and easy to do. We went to a Cabernet show, elephant sanctuary, as well as used the complimentary resort shuttle to the mall area where from that point we walked around the streets/night markets. We would recommend the Marriott to anyone we speak to and will definitely return in the future. It was a very romantic resort to be at. Read less

Easy to get around the resort & something for everyone to do. Less than a 10 min drive into Patong if you want to go. The rooms are very clean with lovely notes or towel animals left each day. Several restaurants with varied cuisine also very good. The breakfast could be taken either at the main restaurant or the smaller restaurant by the beach. Just let the mood take you to either. If I go back to Phuket I would certainly stay here again Read less

The hotel is nice, staffs are so friendly and helpful. We were arranged with 2 single beds while check in but the next day after room made up, they arranged with a king size mattress and made it a king size bed without being asked by us. We were so touched by their caring and consideration. Will definitely go back next time. Thanks.
