I was here just a couple of days after Christmas 2019. Best resort I've ever stayed at. Service was impeccable. I was here just a couple of days after Christmas 2019. Best resort I've ever stayed at. Service was impeccable. Thailand is known as the land of smiles, and the staff here is pretty much the definition of that. Theyre extremely attentive. Very welcoming and warming. All the names are slipping me right now, I wish I wrote them down! But one that I wont forget is Wechin. Hes one of the managers and just such a great guy. They are all so hardworking and sometimes is there for really long shifts but you wouldve never known! Because they're always smiling and so happy. The Prata thai restaurant on site is very good. Very unique in the way they display their foods. But it's not just for looks... their beef green curry with roti was probably the best I've ever had. Ever. I dreamt about it for days. My husband and I couldn't finish our meal, so we asked to take it to go and we can maybe eat it later. Well... this part blew my mind. They asked me when I would roughly be back to my room.. and they packed the entire meal like as if I ordered room service and delivered it and set up a dining table for me in my room. WHAT?!? this was so amazing lol. Eating leftovers never felt so fancy. Hahaha The location is great. You can have that secluded feeling away from major tourism, or you can also be a few steps away from getting onto public access beaches and shopping. Everything is clean, well kept. The villas.. were phenomenal. The freedom to swim without anyone seeing you ;) theres not one bad view. I had a little bit of mountain and a whole lot of ocean views. The bed was so comfortable, the bath tub was perfect, loved the dual showerheads. And if you needed to get anywhere, all you had to do was dial 56 and a personal buggy car would come get you. One of our favorite parts was the breakfast delivered to our room. They didnt just deliver the food. They set it up beautifully outside, 3 tiers of breads and fruits, fresh juices all whole staring at the ocean. It was such an incredible way to start the morning. And we also booked the dinner by the water. See photo. It was so sweet I felt like my husband was going to propose all over again! Heart shaped candles lit on the floor, sunset in the backdrop, they bring you a bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music. And service was so attentive! Everything was superb. I'm definitely coming back. My husband and I were so sad to check out... kudos to the staff. Job well done. This was more and better than we expected. Read less

Having visited this area for many years, we decided to try The Shore. From collection at the airport all was perfect. Initially we had room 8834 - this is a sea view villa - stunning but no sun on the terrace. We asked for a move and ended up in room 8912 which is a Love villa - perfect view of the sun setting each night and sun on the terrace all day. The rooms are all spacious with an infinity pool which is quite lovely. The staff are very friendly - I have read reports of them being very robotic, these guys and girls remember your name, where you come from and many more trivial things that help add to a perfect experience. The breakfast is amazing- one if not the best in Phuket. Sleep quality is very good - it’s a child free zone so very quiet. The Shore is very hilly but the buggy drivers take away all the effort. This place reminded me of The Maldives only with more things to do. Though we had finished with Phuket but we will be back here next year for sure. Read less

We stayed at The Shore for 4 nights in mid-December right before the holiday rush. We stayed in a "Seaview Pool Villa in Love" which gave us a completely unobstructed view of the ocean towards the top of the resort. The room was spacious and comfortable with the pool and terrace being the most spectacular. All staff were wonderful and some of the most friendly people we met in Thailand. While we had to call for a buggie whenever we left the room, the service was quick and efficient. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for someone to take us down to the pool/beach/restaurants. We also planned a special dinner at the Kissing Point which was fantastic. Private chef and waiter serving only the two of us on a beautiful terrace above the ocean with candles leading up to the table. The food was delicious and the setting couldn't have been more perfect. We loved the adults-only aspect of the resort making the pool enjoyable for all. The only downside to the resort is that they don't have a bar open after 7pm when the pool bar closes. At an adults-only resort, I think this is a key amenity that they are missing and something that they should consider implementing. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this resort for those looking for a more peaceful getaway on the busy island of Phuket. Read less

The views from these adults only villas are a stand out. The villas themselves are beautiful in a Hampton's whitewash style. Our bed was great, very comfortable with an extensive pillow menu. The beach on which it's located is also a very nice swimming beach. There are however two factors that stop me from rating this property as excellent. The first is that whilst the staff are extremely well mannered and friendly, it feels as though they are only giving rehearsed lines when you speak with them. For the sort of room rate you pay here I think it's fair to say you should get more personalized service and staff need to be empowered to talk a little more freely. The second issue we had was in regard to food. Breakfast was very good but could be better with a chef cooking fresh pancakes for example, rather than guests using a machine. Dinner options were a Thai restaurant which was so heavily theatrical in it's menu and food presentation that you wouldn't be inclined to eat there more than once during your stay. The same could be said of the beachfront restaurant. It would have been nice to get some basic Thai staples which we would have been happy to have more than once.Don't get me wrong, the food and service was very good, and the villas are gorgeous, but with a few tweaks it could be exceptional. My husband and I stayed at "The Shore" for only 3 nights a few weeks ago (early December) - we really had an amazing stay and would recommend the hotel to all couples who want a relaxing beach holiday. We stayed in a seaview villa romance - which had a view of the beach, a private pool, a shower with two shower heads, a bathtub and an outdoor lounge setting. The room itself was very comfortable. The aircon kept the place cool and was quiet so it didn't disrupt your sleep. You could keep the room very dark at night - we stayed in Phuket at 3 different properties and we had our best night sleep at The Shore. The room was spacious with enough room to store your luggage and clothes without feeling cramped. The showers were great, plenty of pressure and was always warm. The private pool was well maintained, it was a little nippy but served our purposes well. To be honest the beach was amazing so we did most of our swimming there, but it was nice to be able to have a quick dip at night. We didn't use the lounge outside, there was no shade and we didn't want to get roasted. My husband used the gym, I was told it was reasonable enough. Breakfast was pretty reasonable buffet with some fresh to order items. We had quite a few cocktails during our stay and while they were quite pricey for Thailand they were delicious. You can walk down some steps to the beach, Nai Yang beach is about 800 meters long and was beautiful. The water was so warm and welcoming, we went for several swims each day it was fantastic. There are some bars and restaurants nearby but there aren't heaps of options in walking distance, so if this is a key criteria for you then you best go elsewhere (or be willing to get a taxi). Overall our stay was fantastic, my only gripe is that the hotel is very expensive. The quality of the room is fantastic, but you are paying for it! Read less
