Stunning hotel with beautiful style and architecture. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a very poor experience with slow service in one of the restaurants, and left with kids unfed after 1 hour, maybe this was a one off, but with the price, we did expect better. Watch out for the mosquitos, they are brutal.

Great service. Very friendly, warm and happy staff. Grounds are lovely and the kids club and family pool were excellent. Nice restaurants available onsite and beach location is excellent too if you are looking for a beach near the airport.

All the staffs are very welcoming, nice, friendly and welling to help! Modern industrial style is eye-catching and good for social media check in :P. I really admire that there are 3 pools and the Slate make 2 of them are adults only, it’s really wonderful experience. For my stay this time, I spent almost 3 days just lay down by side of the pool to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. If you come with family then there is a big pool for you to enjoy with family. Mr. Ian at pool bar is the most hospitality staff I ever seen, he is always with smile, walk around to sever the water, fruit and cold towers, refill the drinking water all the time around without asking, when having the meal at pool bar he also chatted nicely with us, we feel he is using his full passion on treating guests well, we really appreciate it. ( I have to say, your hotel is so lucky to have him working with you ) Hotel is equipped with a nice fitness with my favorite “technogym” brand equipment. Breakfast is well done, even the variety is not that much comparing to other 5* hotels, but the elements quality is amazing, I believe now days we are more care about the quality. The bedroom is specious, but mattress is too soft for us – old people lol…, a bit sad is about the maintenance, you can see some part might be done better. Especially the ceiling with aircon part. Overall, it’s definitely a resort I will come back, just hope next time when we check out, we won’t see our luggage being left by side of the gate without any staff taking care of it – feel like anyone can pick it up right away, I have to say it’s almost the best experience in Thailand until the last minute. anyway, really appreciate for the great experience. We stayed in a one-bedroom pool villa. Our butler, Teddy made the stay a wonderful experience. This resort has many beautiful details to be discovered. We will certainly go back there again. We love The Slate.

We loved the place, especially that they have done away with all forms of plastic. The staff was great and so were the amenities. The food in the restaurant was delicious. What we did not like was all the biting insects, and all the rubbish on the beach.
