This time I did rubber tapping while my husand played petanque with the staff - England -v- Thailand. The wonderful villa was clean and the view from the pool across the sea is fabulous with lots of loungers. Yes, as Paul G says, the sea goes out, there are mosquitoes this is Thailand after all! The food is excellent and there is lots of choice both in the evening and at breakfast. Thank you Chris and team for making our visit special again - we hope to return to our favourite hotel again. We have just gotten back from Vijit. Spending 6 night there we did NOT want to leave. Stayed in Vijit villa on the beach with beautiful views from the private pool. Location is a big advantage of this place. Nothing can beat the sunrise watched from the bedroom through the big glass sliding doors. Hotel is on a steep hill but buggie service is fantastic. We have never waited longer than 3 mins for a lift!!! Grounds are very well maintained. Staff polite respectful and professional. Working very hard all over the place including regular fumigation for mosquitos. In Thailand they are much smaller than in Europe, silent and very quick. Resistant to most of the European repellents. But every day after cleaning you will find tarts burning to repel them. Breakfast very tasty in the restaurant with a sea view. Hotel has shuttles to nearby beaches- free of charge but you need to pre-book. It's close to shops restaurants and scooter rentals. Villa was spacious with two buildings, two toilets outdoor shower, private pool and small garden. I highly recommend this type of room. Directly on the beach and still very private. Spa is nice. If it were a bit closer to home ;-) Read less

This resort is luxury from start to finish. Upon arrival we were given some warm tea (whilst checking in) which was very refreshing. In addition, we were also given vouchers for a free 15 minute hand massage each. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with over 90 huts. The staff (who are wonderful and can't do enough for you) take you to your room… Read more

In addition, we were also given vouchers for a free 15 minute hand massage each. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with over 90 huts. The staff (who are wonderful and can't do enough for you) take you to your room in a buggy and pick you up whenever you request. The swimming/infinity pool looks out onto the beach and has plenty of sun beds with table service from the bar. The beach is only a few steps away if you'd rather relax by the sea. The rooms are gorgeous with outside bamboo showers which have shutters that you can open and look out onto the sea whilst showering. The bed is huge and extremely comfy. Our room overlooked the sea/beach and so we wake up to a gorgeous view. The staff ensure mosquitos are kept to a minimum by performing pest control weekly. The only downside (if being really picky) is the price of the restaurant food and drinks, however this is only in comparison to the street food which is gorgeous, authentic and very cheap. I would love to stay here again and would certainly recommend it to anybody else. Read less

Lovely setting in tropical gardens. Staff (on the whole) very friendly and helpful. Piece of advice: check room choice if travelling with young children. The Prime Pool Villa is not suitable at all despite the website saying " luxurious bedroom and lounge ideal for families". 3 flights of steps mean that half of the villa becomes totally unusable and wasted. We asked to exchange rooms for a more suitable villa and were happy to "downgrade" if necessary to a smaller room as long as it was suitable for a family. Whilst the hotel had suitable villas available they asked us to pay to change rooms. Read less

Beautiful resort and great staff! We had a pool villa and didn't want to leave. 7-11 is a "10 min walk" but after doing it once I rented a motorbike from reception, well worth it for 7-11 and trips to Rawaii. Our first time to Friendship beach, it's a small beach and at low tide you can't swim but fun to watch the windsurfers from the main pool. We used the kidszone, which is great, and the babysitter service as well, both great services and really made the trip special. Read less
