It’s not easy travelling with a 13 month and 3.5yr old but we had a really great time, everyone made our trip easy and enjoyable, even when the baby threw a glass on the floor or when the floaties got chucked across the restaurant during a tantrum. So many yummy breakfast options that there’s something for even the fussiest palette! The kids club was great and our girls loved playing there although we didn’t actually leave them on their own. Swimming was fantastic in the pool as the boat trip to the sister island is well worth it. Kids played for hours building sandcastles and swimming. The villa was very luxurious and the bed was so comfortable. Read less

First of all, after a 24hr journey we were met with no delays from the hotel transfer which was great as we were all tired. The boat transfer to the island was very smooth and never had any issues getting off the island. We were in villa 48, very beautiful, had a couple of issues with the safe not working and a leaking toilet but were seen to promptly. The island is lovely and the scenery just gorgeous and worth taking the bikes to get around, something we did not do. The staff were great and the food was presented nicely and staff were brilliant. Only down side is that if you are not all inclusive, the menu is expensive. We did go to other hotels on the mainland and the cost is 25% or sometimes 50%. I know it is an island, however, I seen how they transported their goods over and there never seemed to be any issues and it is not far at all. The one thing I was disappointed in was the prices of drinks, especially for the children, 170THB for a milkshake plus the 17% service & tax charge, making this almost £6 in UK money (double the price of Starbucks), no need in this what so ever. However, I did research thoroughly before arriving and made sure we had enough funds for the 2 weeks. Our villa pool was amazing, great way to relax away from the main pools, however, they were never overrun and always managed to get a lounger. My girls loved the slides, but you do need to be careful as kids try to walk up the slow slides, this caused accidents. The only negatives I can refer to: 1. The cost, which I knew about 2. Upon checking out, they tried to charge us 150thb for boat transfer. we pointed out we paid cash every time for this and the only costs that should be on our bill was the 2x take out and some drinks from the fridge, this was sorted out promptly. 3. We felt restricted having to get a boat every time we wanted to leave, again, we knew this. I didn't feel that this warranted a reduction in stars, as mistakes happen and we did our research. All in all, it was the best holiday I have been on. would I go back to this resort, no and the only reason is that we NEVER visit the same resort twice as we like to experience different locations and hotel resorts, to us, that is part of the adventure, finding your way about new places. To you guys reading this, if you like to relax and like to revisit the same places, I would recommend The Village Coconut Island. :-) Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Beautiful Property but no water in Taps for 2 days

Oct 14, 2019 818ankits Bengaluru, India

No water for 2 days in the tap without any intimation. And no apology for the same . Were told to take keys and go to another Villa far away to use restrooms. Very poor management. Property is beautiful no doubt.
