First off, shout out to the amazing staff who made our stay be one of the most enjoyable and memorable we've had. We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. What made our decision to stay here was the fact that it was away from the busyness of Phuket while still being close enough to visit. We stayed in a Jacuzzi suite from 19-29 August 2019. The resort was so lovely, walking around with so many palm trees and tropical plants. We were lucky enough to have an all-inclusive package (all food and drink were included) which definitely made it feel like we were on holiday. When we disembarked the water taxi we were greeted by the friendly staff on the dock. They gave us a quick tour of the resort and facilities and made us feel very welcomed. The food was amazing!! With the choice of 3 restaurants (Italian, Thai/Asian and Japanese-inspired) on the island, plus bar/pool food, you will definitely not go hungry. We ate at KoKo (the Japanese -inspired) restaurant for my girlfriend's birthday dinner and it was to die for! Firstly the cocktails from the mixologist were the best I've had. The smoky pineapple scotch one was my favourite (sorry I couldn't remember what it was called) and the food was worth every dollar. As I said previously, the staff were amazing. From the front of house, to the food and beverage and even the spa and house keeping staff. They catered to our every need answered all our queries with a smile. But that's only the half of it. During our stay, there were a few guests who classified as difficult (one I can say was very racist). However, the staff approach them with an air of professionalism and patience. This should not, however, be taken as a sign that staff can be "walked all over". They have a zero tolerance policy of very bad behaviour, which I applaud them for. So, if you are looking to stay in Phuket, give The Village at Coconut Island a go. You won't be disappointed!! Read less

We stayed at this fantastic resort on our honeymoon! We were confused by the website when booking but got quick help via email. Airport transfer was smooth, as was the water taxi. Because of low tide we arrived to the back pier but there was a car to take us to the reception. Check in was smooth, and you get taken to your villa via golf truck. We had an ocean view villa with a private pool, the private pool is worth it. The villa was very clean and housekeeping good. For those of you who are used to having a door between the bathroom and bedroom be prepared to leave the room for privacy (I understand this is common in this part of the world, so not a complaint, just be aware). We had the all-inclusive option which was worth it for us as we didn't leave the island. Two of the three restaurants are included and the food was great. We recommend the spicy tuna carpaccio and the mango sticky rice. There were enough drinks included that we didn't feel the need to try any other ones. Though you get 50% off and the same goes for the third restaurant. There is live entertainment several nights a week and the fire show was really cool. Breakfast had loads of choices, both western and asian. We went on the Phi Phi islands tour, we really enjoyed it and Ron was a great guide! We did a couples spa treatment, 180 minutes including scrub, massage and facial treatment. The staff were wonderful, always very helpful. We'd like to especially thank Hazel, Lacy, Richelle, May and Oil! Read less

Let me start with what we found was very good with this resort: - We stayed in a sea view villa with private pool and it was very spacious, our own kitchen and living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and of course the pool. - They had 2 restaurants open during our stay that offered a various menu with everything from Italian, thai, Indian and japanease food. Everything we had was very good, the prices are of course more expensive than other places, but what to expect at a 5-star resort. - Everyone that worked at the resort spoke English very! There were however some things that we felt did not meet our expectations.. - We called in advance to arrange a shuttle to get to the hotel, we were picked up by a taxi and was told we would be dropped off by the “land reception” where there would be a boat to transfer us to the island. When we arrived to the land reception we were told to sit down as their boats only operated once every hour and the next one would leave in 45 minutes. This was not what we expected and was not informed by the hotel when we ordered the shuttle that they had a schedule for the boat, we would have expected this to be on demand. Or if they had at least informed us so we could have changed the time for our pick up to better fit the boat schedule. In addition to this, there was a low tide so we had to go to another pier, they took us in another van and drove us 3 minutes and then we were dropped off and told this is where the boat would leave. We were in the middle of nowhere and didn’t know where to go, we saw a long pier and started walking with all our luggage and then we came to the end we saw some people and asked them if this was the boat to the hotel and they said yes. The boat was very old and not in a 5-star resort standard at all, the engine broke down on the way over to the island so they had to restart everything. When we arrived to the island we had to go in another car to drive to resort and finally we arrived. To improve this it would be good if the hotel is very clear in their accommodation, and maybe even offer on demand boat service with an extra charge, for us we would have paid 1000 bath or something just to get to the hotel as we had been travelling for the whole day and really just wanted to make it to the hotel asap. - We ordered express laundry during our stay. On the form it said that Express Service took 5 hours during the hours of 8AM-6PM, we called the reception at 8AM and were told they would collect the laundry from our room and we could go for breakfast. Later that day at 3.00PM they called the room and told us the laundry would be done the next day at 12PM (FYI – it was 3 pair of underwear). We had to call back 3 times to clarify that we had ordered express service and was expecting the laundry to be delivered already as it’s been over 5 hours. Eventually they called back saying they would deliver it back by 7PM. At check-out they still wanted to charge the 100% add on for express service. - It was a very quiet time during our stay, both due to the covid-19 situation and low season I believe, so not many people in the restaurants etc. We didn’t mind at all, we could always get a great table with a beautiful view etc. But we would have expected some higher attention from the staff in the restaurants. It was very difficult at times to get their attention to order more drinks or to get the bill etc, for a five star resort this is something we would have expected some higher level of service. We did escalate all the above during our check out and spoke to the line manager, but we got the feedback “you should have escalated this earlier” – which we had done. When we arrived to the island we informed them straight away that the transportation to get to the island did not meet our expectations and we were not happy with the service at all. The response we got was that she would inform the management but we didn’t hear back during our stay. To summarize – it is a great hotel and beautiful rooms and great food at restaurants, plenty of sunbeds and nice pool. But for me it’s not a 5-star resort due to the level of service. We still hope we can have a chance to visit this resort again and hope they will take the criticism above as constructive and identify areas for improvement. Read less

We just returned home after our second visit to the village, the hotel is 40 minutes away from the airport to the pier where you catch the boat over to the island. We stayed all inclusive at a sea view villa with own pool. Check in was quick and efficient received a nice cold drink and cold towel. The villa was lovely nice big bed, nice toiletries , small kitchen area and lounge area. Tea and coffee facilities and a mini bar that was free with all inclusive. Pool towels were left in the room, nice and clean. The food is really not like all inclusive. It’s cooked to order with a good choice, really is amazing food. But what makes this hotel and made us come back for a second time is the staff. They are all wonderful friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We used the spa twice and had some fantastic treatment packages. The boat taxi runs every half an hour to the mainland you just collect a ticket beforehand. If you are all inclusive you can take the boat over to the sister island each day for free. It’s a good place for swimming but can get busy. We will definitely be back for a third time, hoping the staff will still be there( with the Coronavirus effecting everything) they are the ones that need to be looked after as they are the ones that make the hotel. Big shout out to LAN, joy, honey, hazel, richelle and Janice who really are the backbone of the hotel. Read less
