My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Danang recently. Although Vietnam is open for business again, international tourists are not visiting so the hotel was very empty. I expected the hotel to not have certain services but I wish they would have specified what services were unavailable due to low occupancy. I'm a Hyatt program member and booked a 2-bedroom residence through the Hyatt app, however, there were no indications that anything was different, other than extra cleaning procedures. Here are some of the issues we had for you to keep in mind: 1. Only one restaurant was open and it did not offer the traditional breakfast buffet (they had a very small unlimited ala carte menu instead). One of the days, they did not have everything listed on the menu, which confused me since the menu was not extensive in the first place. Additionally, the restaurant's air conditioning was not working the entire time we were there. They had fans around the restaurant but unless you were directly in front of it, it was really hot. 2. There was no in-room dining service. 3. There was only one swimming pool open and it was very dirty. Leaves, twigs, dirt, and some trash were floating around in the pool. We raised it with the staff on the first day but nothing changed. Ironically, they also left in the pool a bunch of pool cleaning equipment. It was not being used and it was just laying there the whole time. Not sure why they didn't put it away (or use it if it's out) but it made swimming an unpleasant experience. 4. A lot of things were closed in the city of Da Nang. We called concierge to make sure the famous Da Nang night market was open and they confirmed to us, twice, that it was "definitely" open. So, we made our day's plan based on that information. When we arrived at the night market, it was definitely closed. Dark and devoid of human life. It definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. I don't mind so much if the concierge says "we don't know" but a concierge that confidently tells you the wrong answer is just not okay. We raised all these issues again with the check-out staff and they simply noted our complaints. Given the price we paid, it did not live up to our expectations. Not sure if we'd stay at this Hyatt again. We will probably consider staying at other hotels first the next time we're in Da Nang. Read less

On the last day of checking out I requested a buggy for pickup as i had done quite a bit of shopping and the residence was rather far from the lobby. I called the operator to request not once but twice, on the first time the operator by the name of thuong refused to send a buggy because she insisted that the hyayt residence is not under the management of hyatt, to which I respond since it's a covid 19 season and theres not much occupancy would she consider doing a goodwill gesture since theres not much going on and she flat out refused. So I ended up walking with all my luggage and whatever I had bought during the trip to the lobby and on the way a helpful conciergeny the name of Dennis saw me struggling and he volunteered to help carry some of my bags. Upon reaching the lobby I saw that the buggy was sitting there idling and there wasn't even a single customer checking out of the hotel. I spoke to the receptionist about this unpleasant experience and I do understand that the residence is not under the management but regardless the residence still has the hyatt as part of the brand name and since the hotel is nearly empty why not utilise the buggy create some goodwill amongst the guest. I been here 4 times , twice in a villa and twice in a residence and I have never been more appalled by the service from a so call reputable hotel with 5 stars. Maybe it's time you take a closer look at the level and standard of service staff you hire. Read less

Breakfast was ok, although a lot of stuff was not available by the time we arrived. We also did find a cockroach in our room. The hotel is spread out so trying to find the gym took a while. Ultimately this hotel experience was ruined by one staff encounter. At the end of our stay we arranged for a shuttle bus to take us to Hoi An because it was a little cheaper than a taxi but they drop you off on the outskirts of the town and when we asked the Hyatt bus driver what we could do (i.e. where to get taxis or could we pay more to take us to our next hotel) he was so rude and started shouting at us. I enjoyed the stay at the hotel but don't get the shuttle bus to Hoi An, just pay for a taxi. Read less

Always top notch. Service and room rates are untouchable for what they offer our team. Only complaint is food and spa option would need to be reduced for us to utuilze them more and to compete with other hotels and the local economy. With that said I still would not stay anywhere else for the price point!
