Naman Retreat

Danang and Hoi An, Vietnam

The hotel

Promising all the luxuries of contemporary beachfront resorts, but all the charms of Vietnam, Naman Retreat is a union of bold modern styling and authentic accents. Bamboo architecture, coconut trees, Danang’s silvery sands, dining inspired by the kitchens of the Imperial Citadel in Hue; you’ll be immersed in the unique quirks which make Vietnam so alluring. But contemporary indulgences come thick and fast too. Indulge in the ‘no wall’ spa and enjoy a complimentary daily spa treatment as part of your package. Coffee Club’s baristas add high tea and homemade pastries to their coffee repertoire. Rooms include beach and pool villas. And bars range from B Lounge, with its Asian-fusion food, tapas, shishas, and DJ, to beachside Sitini Bar, with its Vietnamese desserts and bar snacks paired with ocean views. With a complimentary shuttle service to Hoi An, the Naman is the perfect getaway for those looking to twin the sights of this intriguing area with an indulgent and romantic escape.

What an absolutely fantastic thank you to staff for everything that they have done to make our stay at the Naman retreat so special. Chau our Ambassador was superb and couldn’t do enough to please, confirm our travel details and advise us through tour our 8 days in resort. Knowledge of local trips was great and daily he checked in with us to ensure we had everything needed. Every member of staff at the hotel has been absolutely fantastic with impeccable service even been greeted by first names is something to be proud of whether with Gizella and her team in the Restaurant or Ivy and the Spa team. Other information for travellers: +We booked a villa here that had its own pool and large bedroom/ lounge. Well worth doing this from the room option in the Virgin brochures. Virgin marked this as a 5* resort and it is. This resort needs promoting more as it’s like nothing we’ve ever stayed in. + this is a get away from everything resort. Don’t expect Internet cafes or raucous music. WiFi though is fab. + craft workshops for lantern making or pottery is also set within the gardens along with yoga. + Lots of Koreans, Japanese and a few Aussies here. Life is slow moving and gentle. + A visitors bus can take you into De Nang (20 mins) or south to Hoi An. We preferred Hoi An as it had an old world charm, a river, lanterns, plenty of places to eat and it was very quaint. There is a night market and is a walking town in darkness. Famous for tailoring Tickets. from Main Reception + There are theme nights in the restaurant so they are well worth a try. + Breakfast, well it’s just got everything you will want. +If it’s rainy season pack a waterproof. Not a short one otherwise a poncho is a good bet. When it rains it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen. Rain can stop abruptly as it starts but walking around in wet shorts after isn’t the nicest of feelings. + try the local food vendors. You will find each stand as 1 speciality. + experience Vietnam not through just a camera lens. + just a not that De Nang is effectively in 2 parts one each side of the Dragon bridge. Each area is distinctly different. If it’s your first time there cross the bridge heading towards the beach side of the river. I won’t say much more there. + as with any visit to Vietnam the night markets are a must and can be quite exciting and eye opening if you’ve not been before. + Make full use of the Spa for massages, hot and cold splash pools as well as sauna and steam rooms in both male and female areas. Note to hotel Be sure I will tell everyone of my friends that this is the place to stay if visiting this area of Vietnam. it’s the ideal escape from the world. Once again a big thank you to and everyone at the retreat. Very best wishes Lee & Jane😁😁😁 Read less
