Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa

Danang and Hoi An, Vietnam

The hotel

In homage to the nearby town of Hoi An, this resort replicates a traditional fishing village with small streets, water ponds and village houses with clay-tiled roofs clustered around Chinese cloth lanterns. Extremely charming, it is also very comfortable with well-equipped guest rooms and a warm, restful atmosphere. Water sports can be found on the beach or you can grab a mountain bike and cycle through rice fields. The Victoria Spa offers a wide range of therapies with four stylishly designed treatment rooms and a beach massage house – whilst the kids' enjoy the myriad activities at the kids club, head over for an hour or two and indulge yourself! Casual all-day dining is offered at the L’Annam Restaurant, overlooking the sea, with freshly caught seafood a speciality. Alternatively, you can enjoy a romantic evening Vietnamese-style, down by the ocean with a Champa cushion and old-fashioned storm lamp, feasting on local cuisine.

We had such a wonderful getaway trip to Danang. The Victoria Hoi an is truly amazing hotel with its unique style. Early morning sunset, sweet dinner, full of laughter...Many feelings that my family & friends had during the vacation here. Activities such as visiting the Hoi An old town, craft villages, visiting Cat Ba island ... are completely different. Vaut vraiment le prix!

We have been stuck in Vietnam for over 3 months now thanks to Covid. During that time we have stayed at some stunning resorts, but Victoria in Hoi An is probably our favourite out of all of them. Firstly, to set expectations, this is not a fancy modern hotel. It is rustic, but that only adds to how much we enjoyed it. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so kind and friendly, they really want you to have an amazing time. The grounds are stunning, I can’t actually find words to describe it. The pool area is unreal and it was just so relaxing looking out over the ocean until the sun goes down. The pool bar is perfect to have a glass of wine whilst overlooking the ocean. The resort hosts a brunch every Sunday and I am so glad we were there to experience it. Was really nice, great food and bottomless booze. They have an on-site gym which is ok, but not great if you want a weights workout. They have tennis courts which you can use free of charge. We also took the bikes out and cycled into ancient town. It’s not far. Only issue which I forgot to mention when we checked out was the bats on the balcony in our room. They were very annoying. I really hope more people go and visit when the borders open as it really is paradise. Read less
