Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa

Danang and Hoi An, Vietnam

The hotel

In homage to the nearby town of Hoi An, this resort replicates a traditional fishing village with small streets, water ponds and village houses with clay-tiled roofs clustered around Chinese cloth lanterns. Extremely charming, it is also very comfortable with well-equipped guest rooms and a warm, restful atmosphere. Water sports can be found on the beach or you can grab a mountain bike and cycle through rice fields. The Victoria Spa offers a wide range of therapies with four stylishly designed treatment rooms and a beach massage house – whilst the kids' enjoy the myriad activities at the kids club, head over for an hour or two and indulge yourself! Casual all-day dining is offered at the L’Annam Restaurant, overlooking the sea, with freshly caught seafood a speciality. Alternatively, you can enjoy a romantic evening Vietnamese-style, down by the ocean with a Champa cushion and old-fashioned storm lamp, feasting on local cuisine.

Absolutely loved our stay here — the staff were so accommodating and helpful and pleasant. The front desk the folks at the pool and the restaurant staff couldn’t do enough to take care of us. The front desk helped us retrieve a package that we had left a gallery in the Ancient City. The pool area is fantastic — plenty of chairs and the poolside attendants are always there to make sure that you’re comfortable with towels, floats, and staying in the shade or sun as you desire. Breakfast is just fabulous . . . Local fare along with the standard western offers and it’s all wonderful. The staff makes the difference! Read less

What a great resort for chilling near Hoi An. Far away from the busy town and only a 5 minute taxi away. All the staff are so friendly. Happy hour and food was awesome. Highly recommended. Great pool and their own beach as well.

Stayed 3 nights. Very good breakfast with great selection! Pool nice but not enough sunbeds for everyone. Rooms OK - renovated regularly but you see that the hotel is rather old. No shower cabin, instead bath tube - wall gets wet and starts to mold. Toilet smelly. Service at pool OK but most of them not very enthusiastic. Be aware: On Sunday… Read more

No shower cabin, instead bath tube - wall gets wet and starts to mold. Toilet smelly. Service at pool OK but most of them not very enthusiastic. Be aware: On Sunday they offer brunch for external guests - pool overcrowded with screaming kids and drunken adults (they have free flow of alcohol with the brunch). Not relaxing! Prices are a scam - 85.000 Dong for a ,,large“ beer plus 15% tax & service charge. Sorry guys that costs 20.000-30.000 in every restaurant around! 250.000-300.000 for a pizza, thats what you pay in Europe! Read less

This is a lovely hotel on the seafront, meaning there’s the benefit of a refreshing sea breeze to offset the general heat & humidity of the area. This is a lovely hotel on the seafront, meaning there’s the benefit of a refreshing sea breeze to offset the general heat & humidity of the area. It’s a 10-15 cab ride into town or a 1 hour (3.5 mile) walk. The hotel offers a free shuttle service into town but operates a quite limited service. The Japanese style junior suite with ocean view is lovely but lacks some basic essentials. There is no mirror alongside the desk/table in the bedroom, so I had to use my hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink (very risky). There is only 1 drawer for clothes, so I had to relocate glasses, kettle, bar snacks etc to create more room. The main doors to the room are very inferior quality - they fail to mute any of the ocean sounds & seemed very rickety. The hairdryer provided is the worst I have ever tried to use in a hotel. It barely created any air. I asked for a better model but was told no other option was available, which I found quite astonishing. Luckily my friend was able to lend me hers, otherwise I would have had to go & buy one...that’s how useless the one provided was. On the plus side, a nice pool, an ok beach, friendly pool staff & the junior suite has an outdoor shower that makes a great change from the norm. Overall a nice enough hotel but disappointing due to very basic shortcomings. Read less

Lovely resort 15 minutes from town. Excellent and friendly staff. Nice location with pool and private beach. Very good breakfast buffet with wide variety of options. They have a free shuttle bus going to and from town centre. Would stay at this resort again.
