Park Hyatt Hotel Saigon

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The hotel

A modern makeover may have seen Park Hyatt Saigon reopen with guest room luxuries like mini iPads and Nespresso machines, but it hasn’t lost its signature French Colonial soul, from the décor to The Pastry Boutique, a patisserie filled with delicate treats. Overlooking Lam Son Square’s Opera House, the truly central location hasn’t stopped Park Hyatt adding a luxury limo service for indulgent sightseeing. And there’s added panache when you return too, with 24-hour Butler and Concierge services, and dining experiences like the Saturday afternoon tea buffets of scones, pastries, tartlets and desserts; Vietnamese clay pot specialities; Sunday brunches with free-flowing Bollinger; DJs and drinks at 2 Lam Son; and Vietnamese cookery classes, which kick off with a Cyclo or Vespa ride to a local market to pick up ingredients.

My wife and I just completed a four day stay and I was sad to leave. From the moment we pulled in the staff was attentive, kind, and went out of their way to take care of all needs. The hotel and grounds are immaculate which and we could not have been more comfortable. The location is the best we’ve enjoyed in our 4 stays in Saigon as you are within a very short walk to food, both street and restaurant, shopping, both high and lower end, and the Opera House. The restaurants were fabulous as well especially Square One which boasts impeccable service along with fabulous cuisine. Management is always available and approachable and asked how everything was going with our stay every time we saw them. Currency exchange at the front desk had great rates and the concierge was wonderful. Transportation was the easiest we’ve had to date with a cab always waiting on the street outside the hotel and ready if you aren’t using Grab. One important thing to note if you are considering staying is that we didn’t hear a single horn or beep beep from our garden view room which is extremely rare in a city of this size. As a fairly light sleeper that is important to me. We moved hotels which was pre planned and paid for but will be heading back soon to finish the last few days of our vacation at this beautiful property. Thank you Park Hyatt staff for making our first four nights in Vietnam so memorable. Read less

All the review about great service is all true. They go out of their way to make your stay very comfortable. If there was one thing to "complain" it woud be there is no Club lounge for evening cocktailt and to just hang out.
