Park Hyatt Hotel Saigon

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The hotel

A modern makeover may have seen Park Hyatt Saigon reopen with guest room luxuries like mini iPads and Nespresso machines, but it hasn’t lost its signature French Colonial soul, from the décor to The Pastry Boutique, a patisserie filled with delicate treats. Overlooking Lam Son Square’s Opera House, the truly central location hasn’t stopped Park Hyatt adding a luxury limo service for indulgent sightseeing. And there’s added panache when you return too, with 24-hour Butler and Concierge services, and dining experiences like the Saturday afternoon tea buffets of scones, pastries, tartlets and desserts; Vietnamese clay pot specialities; Sunday brunches with free-flowing Bollinger; DJs and drinks at 2 Lam Son; and Vietnamese cookery classes, which kick off with a Cyclo or Vespa ride to a local market to pick up ingredients.

Great hotel. Expensive, but worth every penny. You feel like a royal staying at this hotel. They’ve thought about every detail and I’m sure you don’t find a better hotel in HCMC. The pool area is nice, the gym is nice and most important, the rooms are perfect.

With the streets full of motorbikes, walkers and honking... walking through the front door of the Hyatt, letting the A/C hit you in the face as you’re offered a cold cloth is AMAZING! It has the old feel of a French-run hotel. It’s historical look is matched perfectly with top-notch customer service, attention to detail and cleanliness. I’m a Hyatt guy (got the CC, stay while on bus travel)... That said, I’ve never been treated as well. From my checkin, my experience was awesome. Breakfast buffet has you covered, vegan - check, Western - check, I loved their French cheeses and perfectly cooked eggs. We drank in the Bar, they did everything right. I WILL BE BACK! Read less

The hotel is perfectly located right behind the Saigon opera house. Many points of interest are walkable, nearby are a myriad of good restaurants and bars. It has a subtle colonial charm with all modern amenities thinkable. We stayed in a garden view room overlooking the pool area, it is very nicely furbished and decorated, although somehow on the smaller side. In particular there is no space to hide away the luggage so it has to be put somewhere in the room, thereby deteriorating the nice atmosphere. Buffet breakfast is second to none. Very friendly and service minded staff. The hotel has a couple of very nice restaurants, the quality of the food is good but not excellent. The martini bar 2 Lam Son is out of this world and one of the top hot spots in Saigon to enjoy delicious drinks. The spa area is small but nice and the pool and garden area is simply great. We highly recommend this hotel. Read less
